As mentioned on other reviews, the owner and his family go out of the way to make us feel welcome. They gave us a nice welcome coffee and sufficient bottled water. The location was excellent for us as we used the small buses to travel to Berat and Kruje. You can take buses to lots of other places as well from the bus stand, which is about a km away. The main part of Tirana, from where you could also take the airport bus is about a 45 min walk, but you can take the local bus for just 40 leke if I remember correctly. Tirana felt safe as you see lots of people walking and enjoying themselves in various locations. I have been telling my friends that they should go to Albania to enjoy great things at a reasonable price and I am told that the beaches in the south at Vlore, Himare, Sarande and Ksamil are excellent and hope to visit them some day
