Albero Hotel is strategically positioned in Përmet City. Hotel is very special, clean, good breakfast, very comfortable room and beds. Nearby the gourgeous river and centre, restaurants and everything you need. Staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. Thanks Ariana. We had a wonderful time and we'll definitely come back. We passed by just for a short visit, while on a motorbike trip, but there's much more to explore in the surroundings. We fell in love with Albania and Përmet is one of it's gorgeous gems. See you soon.

Përmet, the green city and the heart of the Vjosa River, is a true gem of Albania’s nature, deserving all the spotlight. With breathtaking landscapes, fresh air, and a rich history, Përmet is the perfect place to find tranquility and explore the authentic beauty of Albania.
What Makes Përmet So Special?
1. The Vjosa River
Vjosa, Europe’s last wild river, flows through Përmet, bringing energy, freshness, and a rare, untouched beauty. Rafting and kayaking on the Vjosa are must-try experiences for adventure lovers.
2. The Thermal Baths of Bënjë
One of Përmet’s main attractions is the thermal baths of Bënjë. The mineral waters and ancient stone bridges here are not only relaxing but also therapeutic. A soak in these baths leaves you feeling rejuvenated.
3. Gastronomy
Përmet is the capital of Albania’s famous gliko (fruit preserves). These handmade delicacies, made with fresh local ingredients, are pure art. Pair them with high-quality local wines and the region’s renowned raki – a true feast for the senses.
4. Mount Dhëmbel and Këlcyrë Gorge
For nature lovers, hiking in these areas is a journey into serenity and magical views. The Këlcyrë Gorge is another natural treasure that leaves every visitor in awe.
5. The Hospitality of Përmet
The people of Përmet are among the warmest and most welcoming you’ll ever meet. They’ll make you feel at home while sharing their stories and showcasing the beauty of their town.
Why Visit Përmet Now?
If you’re looking for a peaceful destination, far from mass tourism but full of adventures and authenticity, Përmet is the answer. It’s a town that invites you to enjoy its nature and culture while rediscovering yourself.
Don’t miss the chance to take photos on the stone bridges, enjoy a spoonful of *gliko* under the shade of the trees, and feel the freshness of the Vjosa. Përmet is not just a destination – it’s an experience that stays in your heart. ❤️

Permet is a very different feel to other places we have been too in Albania, Permet is very laid back, different from Gjirokastër. Plenty of cafes/bars and a couple of nice restaurants. Not a lot to see and do but nice for a couple of days. People are friendly. The thermal baths were a disappointment if honest but it’s a nice place for a night or 2 especially if you like hiking or want to climb up the big rock in the centre of town! 😃

If you love the outdoors, this would be a great destination!
If you love the outdoors, this would be a great destination! There is hiking, mountain, bike, trails, and rafting tours available in the river. Probably the most outdoorsy town we visited in Albania on our trip.
Unfortunately, we only had half of one day and half of another, so I would’ve loved to stay for a few more days and explore the area a bit more. It was extremely walkable and the restaurants were very affordable.

Lovely friendly city (felt more like a town) with a good choice of places to eat quality food at bargain prices. The thermal springs are a must do, but I recommend getting there early to avoid any crowds. I had the pool to myself. Just me, the warm water and snowcapped mountains in the distance. Not many other tourists around, but all the infrastructure you need is here.

Small town at the Vjosa river.
Small town at the Vjosa river.
Climb the "Guri i Qytetit" rock for a great view of the town.
Eat at “Te Culi” restaurant in the city center. Lovely family restaurant with local dishes to very affordable prices.
Great town for going rafting on Vjosa and discovering the region, e.g. canyoning/walking in Langarica canyon with its natural springs.
