The hosts were incredibly friendly, helped us settle in and let us taste their home made produce. We gave each other a heartfelt goodbye when it was time to leave, even though we didn't share a language. The place is very homely and has a great view over the valley.

The staff at the resort were extremely friendly. Unfortunately, we visited Kronos Village at off-season. Therefore, most of their facilities were not open (including the pool and the restaurant- due to staff shortage). We initially thought that this would cause us a bit of discomfort, as we had to drive to the nearest restaurant which is 10 mins away. This was a bit of a problem as the village is quite remote. We were also worried about the village being isolated as well (with not a lot of guests). However, we were scared for nothing. The resort was very safe and secure. When we informed the staff about our worries, they took it very seriously, apologised to us, and kindly offered us a partial refund. The manager of the resort is one of the sweetest ladies I met in Albania. She was extremely kind and understanding. It was bad luck that we visited just before the start of the season and we hope that we can visit soon, when the village is at its normal. Coming to the accommodation, we got a duplex which was obviously spacious and had all the necessary amenities. It also offered a great view of the hills behind the resort. The breakfast was delicious and we definitely recommend visiting Kronos Village.

A few weeks before our trip we used the contact details on Booking to try to find out if the resort would be open. There was no response to the email and the phone number did not work. We had therefore decided to go elsewhere until on the day of our stay we saw booking had published a very favourable review from guests who had stayed the previous night. We booked a stay, admittedly late (6pm) for that night and received an email confirmation from Booking. We sent a message, via Booking, informing the Villa what time we would be arriving but this too went unanswered. When we arrived at the resort we were the only people there and everywhere was shut up. We used a number on the confirmation and contacted somebody who was clearly totally unaware that anybody had booked for that night. We were let into our chalet perhaps 20 minutes later. The accommodation is clean but very basic. One of the people who let us in informed us that the temperature would drop to minus 5 that night and that the chalet had no heating. We were provided with a single sheet on each bed and a couple of very thin, poor quality blankets. Not surprisingly it was a very cold night despite us wearing jumpers, socks and long trousers. We had hoped for an early breakfast but 9.30 was the best initial offer as they had to drive up from Sarande. We eventually got a concession and breakfast was served at 9, and we had no complaints whatsoever about it.
