The family-run 4-star Hotel Römerhof enjoys a gorgeous location at the foot of the Grossglockner, Austria’s highest mountain, only 10 km away from the Sports Region Zell am See/Kaprun.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Clean rooms, very friendly and helpfull staff at the reception and in the restaurant. Great food, very nice wellness area including heated outside pool. Definitly worth visit.

The choice of breakfast items and the care that went into presentation of the food was superb Parking was good, rooms very good with a fabulous view I would love to return.

    We were on a driving holiday visiting the high alpine passes...

    We were on a driving holiday visiting the high alpine passes. The Grossglockner road tool booth is five minutes away and opens at 5:30am; we left the hotel at 5:25am and were there as it opened. The hotel was welcoming, clean and as advertised. We ate at the hotel, having been up to the Edelweißspitze (the toll is reduced after 6pm, so we arrived and went up before dinner). Some rooms overlook the main road, so you might want to request a room on the other side of the hotel if the noise of the occasional vehicle bothers you.

    Ms. Alexandra makes you feel at home. Pension is low-key, warm and quiet, which allows a good rest after riding the slopes in Zell am See and Kaprun. These are 15 minutes away, but the drive is great because of the views, so you don't mind taking the trip back and forth, couple of times a day.

    We were in upper appartment. Very well equipped. Comfortable mattresses. Good heating. Spacious with a lot of storage places. 6 minutes by car to Billa. 15 minutes by car to ski lifts in Zell Am See. Ski boots dryer in basement was great. Very nice and comfortable.
