    Illmitz is a great location for visiting the Neusiedler See National Park. It has a good choice of restaurants; our hotel (Hotel Post) did evening meals Thu-Sun, so we had a chance to try other restaurants on oher evenings (Heuriger Holzhammer Pusztascheune Illmitz, Antonios Hof). Before leaving we used the web site https://www.birdingplaces.eu/ which had good information on places to visit and what we might expect to see. The hotel itself also had a good booklet on local places to visit and wildlife and we bought an English language version. There is also a good National Park Information Centre.

    Amazing hotel. I think people do not realise how nice that area of Austria is. Breakfast was amazing and made out of food from the local area. I liked the grape juice that was made by the hotel. Room was big and clean the shower was amazing. I think is the first one that I've seen that they really put thought into it. Quiet, free parking. In the summer time I believe it is a wonderful place. Ahhh....and I shouldn't forget about the wine. That is a wine area for Austria.

    Really nice hotel! Rooms are spacious and the pool is a must - you can order drinks by the pool as well :-) love the breakfast area, very pretty and green! breakfast was delicious. Staff was extremely friendly and we got a Burgeland card that gave us access to the lakes nearby for free! can’t wait to come back!

    Excellent conditions, impeccable cleanliness, very comfortable bed, extremely kind and helpful host, central position, parking right in front of the property. Illmitz is an extremely pleasant and interesting location, we will definitely come back. The host also owns a winery, where we bought an excellent wine.

    The location of the accommodation is great and only a few minutes away from the center of Illmitz. The room is relatively modern and well equipped. The air conditioning really saved our nights! Arriving at the accomodation was uncomplicated, since the owner was already waiting for us.
