Very friendly staff, helpful and smiling - the reception is only open bis 16:00 o' clock, but the restaurant is open until 21:00 so you kann pick up your key there. For late check in there are secured boxes with key pad.
Good breakfast - fresh bread and pastry, good and strong coffee. We were offered also some scrambled eggs - very tasty. The lady in charge of breakfast was very nice.
Very clean room, no dust what so ever. We had a room with 3 beds - good size. The room was facing the parking lot, so not the greatast of views. On the other hand, if you love your car you get to see it all the time. For me it was a plus.
Free parking in the hotel courtyard.
They also have a good restaurant with plenty of choices. We ordered our food and took it in the room. The prices are decent.
We only stayed for one night, but we will definitely come again.

We received a very friendly welcome on arrival and were escorted to our room which was fine with a comfortable bed. The Pension is right in the old town of Melk with an amazing view of the abbey when you come out the door, super location! We managed to park a short distance away on the Nibelungengelände. The breakfast was really good and also the meal we had in the restaurant. All in all a very pleasant stay and great value for money!

Excellent breakfast, very nice classic architecture building conversion, nice music in the breakfast saloon, nice and friendly staff. All new and clean.
Melk is a beautiful town along the Danube river. Its small, quaint, and historic. We spent a day in Melk and a day riding bikes in the Wachau valley. The abbey in Melk is beautiful. Definitely take the tour! We rode bikes to Krems and rode the bus back to Melk. We rented bikes from Wachau Touristik located on Pioneerstrasse 1 down by the river. They were fantastic to work with and had our reservation ready when we got there early in the morning. Melk is easily accessible by OBB train and on the route to Salzburg. You can easily walk to downtown Melk and most of the hotels and pensions right from the train station.

The town of Melk must be walked through to admire its old, beautifully restored buildings
A day worth reserving for a wonderful cruise on the Danube to admire the Wachau valley. We recommend stopping and walking through Dürnstein

I can find nothing negative to say about Melk. We totally enjoyed our stay and all of the attractions that were easily accessible. We eat at local restaurants and the food was excellent. The train station was within walking distance. The river cruise to Krems was amazing. I would do it all again.

The Abbey is extraordinary and the surroundings are wonderful. The city is a whole story, full of a preserved history with great attention to detail. Very professional.
Was easy to get around, no problems. We think to plan another trip to Melk in the near future.

Very nice small town. We really enjoyed the Abby tour.
Very nice small town. We really enjoyed the Abby tour. We also enjoyed the old downtown and all the sites and stores. We were there during the Christmas holiday break so some stores and restaurants were closed but that did no deter us. Would like to visit in the spring and summer.

Lovely staff, excellent food, comfy room: this is an excellently run hotel in the heart of Melk. We were warmly welcomed at Reception and given a lovely room. The dinner was gorgeous with plenty of local produce and dishes to choose from. Breakfast was also beautifully varied. Very highly recommended.
Lovely atmosphere in the middle ot the pedestrian zone. Nice view on the Rathaus and the Koloman Fountain directly under Stft Melk.
The atmosphere in the evening was comfortable. A last drink outside in front of the hotel at nicely lit tables rounded the day up for us.
