We booked a last minute stay at the hotel for a single night and we couldn't have been happier with our decision.
We were greeted warmly upon arrival and also for departure. Dinner was hearty and the breakfast was plentiful. My teenage daughter commented that it fellt like home.

Room was spacious and the bed was comfortable and the buffet breakfast had a good selection of most things.
Staff were good enough to turn the sauna on for me when I requested it.

Absolutely beautiful location. Very friendly and flexible host. Spatious and clean bathroom. The floor in the hallway of the rooms creaks, but never have I noticed any of those noises while inside the room. Got a private sink in the room. With the window open it can be noisy till late. But after that it's also quiet till late. Absolutely perfect if you're a night owl :). Nice selection of foods for breakfast as well.

Hospitality: our hosts provided a late dinner when we arrived at a late hour from our 12h train journey and cycle ride. The next day, they invited us to make a free picnic at breakfast for our bike ride and gave us sandwich bags to put it in. Great range of homemade after-dinner drinks, food and drink at modest prices.

This hotel is by far, THE best hotel I've ever stayed in. There isn't a single thing we could find fault with. Usually there's always something, but everything about this gem of a place was beyond perfect.
The hosts were exceptional, like family. The kindest and most attentive you could ever meet. I miss them already. The breakfast was extremely good. A perfect selection of meats and cheeses, jams and juices. We were also served scrambled eggs with bacon which was really tasty. Every morning there was also a little basket of gluten-free rolls for our table for me, which just made things even better. It was the attention to detail, ginger juice shots one morning, a spiced biscuit the next. The whole atmosphere was warm and welcoming.
The room itself was very cozy, very bougie. Everything looked new! The bathroom was lovely, very modern, and very clean. The bed was extremely comfortable, soft yet firm with duvets and pillows to disappear into. There was also a balcony with chairs with a stunning view of the mountain and local town. There's a huge TV in there too if you need. WiFi was good. Little complimentary Haribo sweets and cute biscuits for us too. It was all so lovely.
The location is easy to find, very quiet at night. Maybe a noisy church bell to wake you up in the morning but I loved that. Plenty of parking on site. Some amazing local walks available too although a lot is closed in winter. We did find a nearby waterfall though that you could walk up to even though the main path further up was closed. Highly recommend! Local eateries don't take credit cards though so make sure you've got Euro cash available! Such kind locals though.
We stayed over the new year, just 2 nights and were very sad to leave. A wonderful view of the town's fireworks! We can't recommend this hotel enough. We'll be back!
