Staff - extremely helpful, kind and friendly. The woman at the front desk was great!
Location - the hotel is surrounded by mountains and the view in the evening and in the morning are splendid. However, to get there, you will probably need to have a car.
Room - it is a very nice room, spacious room with a nice bathroom. Balcony is spacious and a place, where you can enjoy a view on the surrounding area. Bed linen and towels are provided (also bathrobes).
WiFi - WiFi was great, it was working nicely.
Parking - there is enough parking spots in front of the hotel.
Swimming pool - it is decent size, nice to relax and enjoy the water (note that the water is warm-cool). Open till 22:00.
Overall, the hotel is a very nice place and definitely worth to stay there if you visit either Innsbruck or are going to ski.

Perfect hotel for a relaxing stay in the Austrian Alps! The spa is amazing and we spent each afternoon lazing on one of the comfy sun loungers and taking in the stunning views from the sauna and pool. The location of the hotel was perfect for us, outside of the hustle and bustle of the city but just a short bus journey away. The buses are every 10 mins to Innsbruck/ski slopes and always on time. The staff and restaurant were also spot on - delicious, filling breakfast each morning and great schnitzel/drinks in the evening!
The Hotel Restaurant Grünwalderhof is located 5 km from Innsbruck at the foot of the Patscherkofel mountain in Tyrol. The cable car is 1.6 km from the property. Free WiFi is offered.

I didnt realise that we had the breakfast included, which was a nice surprise. It did not disappoint and matched many of the fantastic Austrian breakfasts i had had many years before. Although the location was slightly out of the city, this is what we wanted, to live amongst the hillside. Access roads were good and there was a bus stop right outside the hotel. With the free bus transport included in the local tourist tax, it made life very easy to head into Innsbruck and enjoy the Christmas Markets and Glüwein without worrying about parking and driving home.
Alpenhotel Stolz offers typical accommodation in a Tyrolean chalet, looking out on the Stubaital Valley. Free WiFi is available and free private parking is possible on site.

The region is perhaps better known for skiing, but it's also a great summer destination.
I recommend zipping down the Serles on the summer sled track, but be prepared to queue for a while (or try to arrive very early). You can walk up or take the Serlesbahnen lift up. There's a fun little water park at the top, and some very nice (also family-friendly) hikes for example to Maria Waldrast, where there is a fountain with allegedly healing waters.
Schlick 2000 is an obvious peak to visit and walk around, but the Elfer opposite it also has a lot to offer (if you like hiking, try the trail that goes to Pinnisalm about an hour away - there are amazing views into the quiet inner valley along the way). It's also quite mesmerizing to watch the paragliders take off from the Elfer.
The Stubai glacier is incredibly popular. If you are relying on the bus to get there, prepare for a quite full bus.
About the buses in general: you can't get everywhere by bus, and sometimes the buses to the glacier or Innsbruck are very crowded. I would welcome it if there were more buses, and routes that lead to some of the side valleys.

This place is fantastic.
This place is fantastic. There are so many beautiful places to visit in the area: many mountains with amazing hikes, lakes and pools to swim in, playgrounds for kids, good restaurants and cafes. Innsbruck is great too.

Beautiful and relaxing valley.
Beautiful and relaxing valley. Many activities and nature spots within easy reach: Mountain slide, cable cars, playgrounds, nature walks, waterfalls, glacier, rope park, swimming pool and water slides, and more. There are some great savings on activities included in the Stubai card. Suitable selection of groceries for the self sufficient traveler. A short drive to Innsbruck for big-city services, and to attractions in and around the Inn valley.

Had a wonderful stay! The hotel is in a stunning location, beautiful mountain views and lots of great hikes in the area. Staff were friendly and extremely accommodating, we enjoyed the food we were given (you won’t really get a choice, sometimes vegetarian options are offered, but it was all tasty), and the room was fine, comfortable and secure. Everyone spoke good English. Overall a great find for those who enjoy the outdoors or peace and quiet!
The location is a little bit far from the city center, but still convenient. People can take a train (its name is STB, one time per hour, the whole trip is almost one hour) in front of the main station of Innsbruck. The scene along the train trip is awesome!
The hotel experience exceeded my expectations because lots of negative comments can be found on Google Maps or Booking.
Excellent facility with pleasant hosts, attentive to details and to customer`s satisfaction. The house is nicely decorated. The view to the mountains from the room`s balcony is exceptional. Breakfast is sufficient. Hosts: husband is cooking excellent dinners. His wife is serving these dinners like in 5* hotels. The room is spacious and comfortable.
Lovely mountain view from the bed, free parking right next to the hotel, sauna included. Breakfast were okay but I would recommend to keep an eye on the warm buffet, because our eggs were cold.
