The location and view of Traunsee is stunningly beautiful. The Spa in the top floor is perfectly designed and offers a beautiful view to the lake and mountain scenery. The evening dinners in the Bell Étage were very special. We sat on bar stools with direct view of the kitchen activities. The cook explained in great detail about the interesting and appetizing items on the menu.

    In November you do not have much to do there.

    In November you do not have much to do there. We found only on restaurant and one café house open, nothing else. I did not get why any (zero!) souvenir shop is not existing there - I am sure tourists would appreciate to buy some small souvenirs and support the local business by doing this.

    Very lovely small little town at the lake, it has plenty restaurants with amazing views of the lake and mountains. Suitable for family with small kids like us as it also has plenty playgrounds and lots of outdoor activities such as swimming.

    Nice and clean lake - no fish smell.

    Nice and clean lake - no fish smell. Water is a bit cold, but that was expected. Mountains around the lake Traunsee look amazing. Lake surroundings were really nice, clean and cared for. Ice-cream at Giovanni's was really tasty.

    Famous location of Baadhaus just on Traunsee in very nice small city Traunkirchen. Owner family very friendly and helpful to recommend activities around (like hiking to Feuerkogel or to enjoy skywalk on Grunberg) . Hotel is "green" sustainable energy production. By recommendation of Josef (owner), we travel to Hallstatt via train where train station is just 5min walk. Our room had very nice terrace from which you can look on Traunsee as well to nice chapel up the hill.

    Everything was amazing! Post am See is one of the best hotels in Austria, excellent service, amazing level of hospitality, fantastic dining experience, great rooftop SPA with a spectacular view! We liked absolutely everything and for sure will come back to this hotel again!

    Room was Ok, really clean and Especially service at the restaurant was briliant. Even during the dinner with Erika. I think she is the best person at the hotel with her attitude. Food was excellent from breakfast to dinner.
