The Wander- und Familienhotel Erika is a friendly 3-star hotel in a quiet, central location amidst the Amadé Sports World in Salzburg Province.

Wander- und Familienhotel Erika looked after us very well! The hotel is excellent quality and did not feel like a 3* with rooms and the whole hotel looking like it has received recent investment in keeping it in really excellent condition. The staff were attentive and happy at all times. The food was excellent (breakfast and dinner which had meat, fish and vegetarian options every night) with some nights being full buffet and some with the main course served at your table. There is also two choices of cake and sometimes soup at the end of the ski day before dinner. The spa and boot room are very good and its a short walk to the ski bus. Note that its the last stop before the Grafenberg lift so on occasions the ski bus going down the hill was full, but this was not the case if going up the hill to the Fying Mozart.

We haven’t experienced such pleasant staff in a long time. Fantastic breakfast, wellness center, and pool. The welcome drink and the departure gift were the cherry on the cake.

The family-run Hotel Wagrainerhof is situated in the centre of Wagrain in the province of Salzburg. It features a restaurant and a spa area.

The apartment in the annex building is located in a separate building called Centerhouse Wagrain, which seems to be new. Check in is done via a self check in terminal near the entrance of the building. We were able to enter the apartment 30 minutes earlier than we selected. The apartment was small but equipped with everything needed for a 3 day stay. The bathroom is quite spacious. Ski room is located on the ground floor and is very easily accessible from the outside of the building. During our stay there was a lot of free parking spaces under the building or in it's vicinity. Location of the accomodation is perfect for visiting Wagrain city centre and is also in a walking distance (5 minutes in ski boots) from the gondola.

Location of the accommodation was superb! There's a small water stream and sound of water flow was awesome. It's give us a feel like we are in middle of amazon.

    Breakfast and Dinner are really great at Kolgeralm. It is a very modern "Berggasthof" - and the meal can compare with any very good hotel - and honestly it will probalby exceed.

    Gorgeous view of mountains, great place for nature-lovers, you can spend there some quality time both in winter & in summer. Hallstatt, Zell am See, Dachstein are only 1 hour drive from Wagrain. Be aware of toll roads & tunnels (above the motorway fee). If you are travelling with kids, they will enjoy the Hermann Maier Freizeitpark in Flachau (ca 15-20 mins drive from Wagrain). You should check out the opening schedule of supermarkets and restaurants, eg. after 9 PM, you might not find any open places or restaurants could have their own break days.

    Wagrain is all about skiing.

    Wagrain is all about skiing. If you don't ski, there isn't much to do around Wagrain. Swimming pool opens in the afternoon, so does the skate ring. If you have kids, there is no much other fun things to do. Most of the restaurants open at 5 pm. If your hotel doesn't offer lunch meals, you can only help yourself with snack from the two spar groceries in the village. The ski bus is great, it runs every 10 min. However, the streets are narrow and it may get quite tight, if you meet a bus while driving.

    Wagrain was a good base for many activities in a family summer vacation: Super close: - Grafenberg - great views, a big playground for kids - Jaegersee - a lake with amazing view and a restaurant (I recommend the icecream). There is a short hiking trail around the lake and you can rent boats. - Flachau indoor waterpark - Not a must, but good for rainy days (can be very crowded) Up to 1h drive: - Salzburg - Lichtensteinklamm - Beautiful but very crowded - I recommend arriving right at opening time - Gosausee - Beautiful lake also with a hiking trail - Grollinger waterfall - Hallstatt - Very crowded so arrive early or don't bother.

    Small town but a good location for walks around. Also, close by car from other nice cities. The Wagrain card gives you some discounts. You can go to the warm pools for free, and these are great. Kids loved it

    Wagrain is amazing, there is much to do in the area.

    Wagrain is amazing, there is much to do in the area. Our stay at knappensteig was truly amazing. Thomas the owner is very available and the whole complex is amazing and very clean and comfortable. We Were there for 7 nights and we wanted to stay longer. It’s very close to the wasserwelt which the kids really enjoyed. We highly recommend this place.

    Spacious, two large bedrooms, two bathrooms, very convenient for a family. All very clean, kitchen very well equipped. Very close to the roter 8er gondola, takes just 1 skibus stop so that you don't have to use your car. Nice regional restaurant by the valley station. Supermarkets in flachau or wagrain, only several minutes drive away. Owner Roswitha incredibly nice and helpful.

    Super nice owner Maria, always in a good mood and with a smile. Good location for skiing in the ski area Wagrain / Flachau / Zauchensee. Tasty breakfast. Very clever idea for accommodating larger and slightly noisy groups - cosy wooden house in the garden, fully equipped (fridge etc) so you can party outside the main building without worrying about disturbing other guests.

    The space was very clean and modern. Bed was very comfortable and heating etc worked efficiently. Location is good for ski lift for adults around a 10min walk with gear, and near by shops are very convenient. We also liked People z bar which is attached to the sister hotel. Ski room is great, modern and warm but unfortunately not secure (see below).

    The location is good for skiing. 100m from a small bar lift that brings you to Flying Mozart The apartment is beautiful and very comfortable. It is spacious and well-equipped. The hotel owner is very pleasant and helpful. The ski room is the best I've seen.
