For the price it was excellent, comfortable bed, lovely hot shower, clean. Located opposite a large park and very quiet. Staff were friendly. Free breakfast consisted of cereal, toast, juice, croissants and muffins. All in all a lovey place.

The Natural History Museum and Antiquities Museums at UNE...
The Natural History Museum and Antiquities Museums at UNE were very good. The Art Gallery at the southern end of Marsh Street is always good. Restaurants, pubs and bars in town are great.
Next door to the Art Gallery is the local Indigenous Land Council Centre which had fabulous art works and traditional tools on display.
At the Welders Dog Bar, in Marsh St you can actually get a Black Pilsener. That was a great find.

While there were modern shopping facilities, the main street contained many historic buildings and the Visitors Centre was helpful in providing us with notes to do a walking tour of these which was very easy to follow
We ate at both an historic hotel and the Services Club.

Armidale is a small city in Northern NSW and is a service centre for the rural industries surrounding it. It is most known as being the home of The University of New England, one of Australia's premium Universities. The surrounding region has many attractions including the New England National Park.

I was only here for two separate one night stop overs about a fortnight apart so didn't see much of the town. I have been here before when the leaves on the trees in the place have their autumn colours on display. Has all the basic shopping facilities and infrastructures. This a well known university town on the New England Tablelands. It is serviced by a smaller style airport. There are great waterfall features in this region and well worth a visit after sufficient rain has made them run.

We stayed here for a one-night stopover during our family road trip. The motel had decent facilities and service, but the biggest draw was that it was pet-friendly. They also provided a complimentary breakfast, which was a nice touch. Overall, the stay was enjoyable.

Check out the Hinton collection art gallery.
Check out the Hinton collection art gallery. One of the best in the state outside the NSW Art Gallery and very well curated. Also, great bookshop (Boobooks) in the centre of town with an extensive and diverse stock and nice atmosphere, sometimes with live music. Plus, good brekkie to be had at Caffiends in the Beardy Street mall. Both these establishments well patronised so clearly rated by the locals.

This is a very reasonably priced hotel in a good location. Its not flash but it is comfortable and consistent. Staff are friendly and helpful. The most positive thing I can say is that this is the hotel I always go for when I stay in Armidale. I'd say I have stayed there every other year for a decade. I will stay there again next time I'm in town.
Stunningly renovated Art Deco hotel in the centre of Armidale CBD. The room was equivalent to any 5 star hotel I have stayed in. Exceptionally appointed and great value for money. Beautifully decorated, large rooms, comfortable beds, complimentary tea, Nespresso machine and yummy Aussie made biscuits. We will definitely stay here again.
The room and bed were comfortable. Despite being heavily booked during our stay, it was quiet. We had a lower room at the rear of the hotel. It is within walking distance of restaurants, pubs or takeaways for meals.
Beautiful place to stay.Very friendly at reception and in the restaurant.
Breakfast was included and it was good
I will stay here again when in Armidale.
One of the best places I’ve stayed in regional NSW.
Clean comfortable rooms & yummy breakfast. Booked at last minute to visit my dad in Armidale hospital and it made a stressful time easier knowing we had somewhere safe to sleep. Staff were lovely.
