Set on the grounds of the historic Cotswold home built in the 1800’s, this motel offers free Wi-Fi, a restaurant and a bar, 2 minutes’ drive from Armidale and Dumaresq Creek.

The property appeared to be an older property but had been refurbished to a high standard without compromising the nature of the original property on which it stands and is incorporated into. The restaurant is in keeping with age of the original property and the menu provides a good choice which is well presented and of good quality. Table service was excellent. The accommodation was very good with a table, TWO chairs and a sofa, a wide screen TV and a comfortable bed. It is just a short drive to the centre of Armidale although you could walk if you enjoy walking. Reception was friendly and efficient.

The Natural History Museum and Antiquities Museums at UNE...

The Natural History Museum and Antiquities Museums at UNE were very good. The Art Gallery at the southern end of Marsh Street is always good. Restaurants, pubs and bars in town are great. Next door to the Art Gallery is the local Indigenous Land Council Centre which had fabulous art works and traditional tools on display. At the Welders Dog Bar, in Marsh St you can actually get a Black Pilsener. That was a great find.

While there were modern shopping facilities, the main street contained many historic buildings and the Visitors Centre was helpful in providing us with notes to do a walking tour of these which was very easy to follow We ate at both an historic hotel and the Services Club. note: We are not a young couple but aged 90 & 85

Armidale is a small city in Northern NSW and is a service centre for the rural industries surrounding it. It is most known as being the home of The University of New England, one of Australia's premium Universities. The surrounding region has many attractions including the New England National Park.

I was only here for two separate one night stop overs about a fortnight apart so didn't see much of the town. I have been here before when the leaves on the trees in the place have their autumn colours on display. Has all the basic shopping facilities and infrastructures. This a well known university town on the New England Tablelands. It is serviced by a smaller style airport. There are great waterfall features in this region and well worth a visit after sufficient rain has made them run.

We stayed here for a one-night stopover during our family road trip. The motel had decent facilities and service, but the biggest draw was that it was pet-friendly. They also provided a complimentary breakfast, which was a nice touch. Overall, the stay was enjoyable.

Check out the Hinton collection art gallery.

Check out the Hinton collection art gallery. One of the best in the state outside the NSW Art Gallery and very well curated. Also, great bookshop (Boobooks) in the centre of town with an extensive and diverse stock and nice atmosphere, sometimes with live music. Plus, good brekkie to be had at Caffiends in the Beardy Street mall. Both these establishments well patronised so clearly rated by the locals.

The motel is very clean and you cannot hear noise from other rooms, mine was extremely quiet. The motel is within walking distance to nice cafes, restaurants and the town centre. The room must be well insulated because it stayed warm throughout the night even though it was quite cold in Armidale when I travelled. My hosts were lovely, helpful and friendly. If I travelled to Armidale again I would book at Armidale Pines.

Excellent central location in safe and quiet part of Armidale. We were driving through after visiting family and will definitely stay again when travelling through. We really enjoyed having the extra room that you don't get with a hotel and seperate lounge and kitchen and especially that it was pet friendly. Nice and clean and off street parking too which is always a plus!

Beautifully renovated old stables made in to a 1 bedroom self contained cottage. The property was immaculate, fresh, bright and homely. Terri greater us on arrival and made us feel very welcome. As the property is located out of town in the suburbs it was quiet and relaxing.

Nice clean hotel. Unfortunately, the frosted glass can make me a little claustrophobic. Great breakfast.
