We travelled by car to Avoca and the scenery and roads were really good. Once in Avoca the one way street tripped us up in a country town. But the place exceeded our expectations, room for everyone to spread out. Kids loved the double bunk with single on top. The staff were very accommodating. Breakfast had everything we needed to start our day. Weren't quite sure about shower but it was better than it looked. Very hot water. Town had the usual couple of hotels with food which was delicious. We went to the Avoca Hotel and our teens enjoyed exploring the street. Loved Avoca, a quiet little town with plenty to offer, friendly people, the motel we stayed in was excellent and close to town, they have a few shops, plenty of places to eat and the highlight was the Avoca Hotel, fantastic hosts and the food was exceptional.
