It had breakfast and dinner. It was modern and clean. It didn’t have a separate window, only a door onto a long common balcony so had to keep closed at night for security so had to have the aircon at all times. Apart from the lack of security at night it was excellent. It was a it far from the city centre but was the best hotel in town.

The room was very clean and the bedding was good and quite comfortable.
Breakfast was good and made to order, however the order form didn't really reflect what was actually available.

I disliked being woken up at 3.45am by the room next door with people arguing & them not considering other people trying to sleep.
Boasting a lovely outdoor swimming pool, a children’s playground, Bathurst Gold Panner is a 5-minute drive from the town centre. Guests enjoy free parking and panoramic views.

The motel employee said the previous occupants took the key with them and she couldn’t find a spare and asked whether we needed a key. I said yes as we were going out that night. She came back with a key and lucky I checked the key prior to us going out as the key did not work. We would not have been able to get back into our room. We had to put our belongings in the car and leave the room unlocked. I was also worried during the night that the previous occupant may return as they had the key still. When we told her the next morning, she just said Ok. No apology.

I would have like it if car park had lights as we came back at night and it was way to dark in the car park I had to turn my phone light on to see were we were walking
Site of famous Mt Panorama car racing track. Many things to do in Bathurst, including historic houses and museums. Nearby towns include Hill End, Sofala and Mayfair Gardens, which are good day trips. Also Zigzag railway accessible. Good dining with several pubs and some good restaurants, plus all the usual fast food outlets. Great location for 3-5 days.

I was visiting my very ill sister so I didn't get to enjoy Bathurst as much as I would like to have. However what I did experience I thoroughly enjoyed, Ben Chifley Motor Inn, Country Coffee & the wonderful staff at St Catherine's Nursing Home who look after my sister Gail, also the taxi drivers.

The room was quite large. It was a studio apartment with a kitchen, separate bathroom (excellent shower & spa bath) that did not fog up and a comfortable king size bed. Fantastic view of the Chase on Mt Panaorama circuit and a balcony. Good on-site parking. Only a short drive into the Bathurst CBD and great access to the track. Great value for size of the accommodation. Air Con worked well keeping us warm during a very cold snap - see photo of hotel with snow clouds.
Staying at this Airbnb was an absolute delight. It’s at the rear of the main home but very quiet and private. Spotlessly clean, fully equipped and lovely little touches that made it truly welcoming and homely.
Shops and restaurants are close by. Totally recommend ‘Church Bar’ for happy hour and the most amazing pizzas!
Overall, our stay exceeded our expectations and we’ll definitely be back!
Liked the character of the hotel, comfortably furnished in a retro way. Local artist work is displayed everywhere. We enjoyed the space of a family room which was roomy and very light. The bathroom wasn’t as modern as the renovated shared bathrooms but was still clean snd functional. Also enjoyed dinner in the pub.
