Great little mining town.
Great little mining town. Plenty of takeaway places and a couple of pubs but very few, if any, other restaurants. Pubs have food as do the motels. All services are available here, fuel, tyres, repairs. There are a couple of good motels. There are also a couple of nice parks with public toilets. The BICC (Blackwater International Coal Centre) is well worth a visit. They have a tourist shop, very good coal museum and excellent coffee shop. Only open on week days. They can arrange a visit to a coal mine but ensure you inquire a week or so ahead because tours may not be available every day. It is well worth a visit to an mine.Guest review byDavidAustralia
