Beautiful room with everything I needed for my one night stay. Very comfortable king size bed. Great products in the bathroom. Beautiful view over the valley. Dinner was delicious and I enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the Lismore area.

Featuring a bar, The Sherwood Hotel is located in Lismore in the New South Wales region, 18 miles from Big Prawn and 27 miles from Byron Bay Golf Course.

I didn't give the staff a high rating because we didn't meet any staff. They sent us a text with code to enter the building where the rooms are located and the same code gets you into the room. They had a list of rules posted and if they feel that you have broken any of the rules it's a 250 dollar fine. Between the room and the bathroom there is a step about 6 to 8 centremeters that is a trip hazard. My wife tripped about 3 times and I must have tripped at least 4 times and nearly smashed my face on the bathroom sink. Not happy.

Some of the property rules regarding not having the dogs...

Some of the property rules regarding not having the dogs inside were so difficult . These were not known until after booking . The verandah area was a balcony and it was often getting wet . Another rule we found a laughable was a sign near the bbq that said failure to clean the bbq would bring severe consequences . The bottom plate was full of fat and crud . We were comfortable in the villa itself but it wasn’t what we would call pet friendly.
