Staff was friendly, sweet, and helpful. Good location with a walking trail that led to the Visitor's Center. Definitely a step up from other nearby cabins (we stayed in a newer King Spa Chalet). Loved the back deck nestled into the eucalyptus trees; it was very private and felt like we were in our own special treehouse. Cabin warmed up fast with the powerful gas fireplace/stove. Very nice to provide fresh milk and coffee pods. Overall, a positive experience with a few things (see below) that need a bit more Tender Loving Care (TLC).

Everything. The location. The room and amenities. The vista from the room. The pristine, clean air. The quietness of the surroundings. The ambience. The Wilderness Centre gallery. The food was great - breakfast and dinners. The chef must be good as the dinners were all delicious and presented beautifully. And all staff were very helpful and congenial, particularly the wait staff who showed good humour and knowledgeable about all options. Reception staff also very helpful and friendly. Let’s not forget the room attendants who work hard to present a comfortable and clean room to enjoy after a day or days of long, beautiful walks. Thanks everyone at Cradle Mountain Hotel.

Everything about this lodge is special and beautiful! Our room was very clean, spacious and we loved the balcony's and spa bath. The lodge building is so atmospheric with open fires, warm and comfy couches. The restaurant is great for a special dinner and the bistro excellent for casual dining and we enjoyed participating in the trivia night too! The location is so easy to access the shuttle bus into the National Park, just a short walk from the Ranger Station Interpretation Centre where the bus picks up. We loved all the short walks around the lodge, the animal life is so special and the forest surrounds spectacular.
Cradle Mountain Highlanders offers secluded cabins on the edge of Cradle Mountain National Park. It provides convenient, self-catering facilities and is a 5-minute drive from the park’s entrance.

The tiny home felt really peaceful and private. We loved the outdoor space and being able to enjoy the bush with no one else in site.
Cradle Mountain is only a short drive away.
The national park facilities are fabulous. The Dove Lake circuit walk was beautiful. Some sections on the walk though were tricky especially for those perhaps not so agile. Lots of steps with some step and narrow. Not bad enough to not get through it but just be wary that it is not all flat.
The second walk up to Lilla Lake and the Wombat Pool were also beautiful with also some tricky bits on the track. But the return trip from the Wombat Pool (if you are not continuing on) reveals a stunning view of both Lilla Lake and Dove Lake behind it. Didn’t notice it on the way up only on the return. The walks are very rewarding. A real wilderness adventure. But remember the sunscreen and a small first aid kit for any little mishaps on the way. We had a very clear, stable weather day but the weather can change in an instant so just be prepared for a cold change even if it’s a sunny start. The shuttle buses from the visitor centre to Dove Lake ran every 10-15 minutes and were very efficient. If you want to have a break between a couple of walks, the visitor centre has a very good cafe and easily accessible to have lunch then return on a shuttle bus to one of the stops to continue. There are clean toilet facilities and water refilling stations at the different stops in the park. Cradle Mountain is beautiful

We are a couple of seniors who enjoy natural environments but cannot walk far. The Shuttle bus service and graded walks were marvelous. we got to see the sites we wanted to and wildlife too. We recommend the Dove Lake short walks, although there are some steps and Ronny Creek for a picnic. Peppers Lodge has a bar where you buy pizzas or other lunch items and also see wombats or echidnas outside. Bring layers of clothes with wet weather gear, good footwear and walking poles to keep your balance on uneven surfaces. During our two days in February we experienced high winds, freezing rain, mist and brilliant sunshine.

- An amazing place with interesting fauna, flora, and of course rock formations.
- The buses run smoothly from the visitor centre into and throughout the park to save on traffic.
- A number of options for walks with little kids.
- Expensive food in the accommodation or tavern, we brought our food with us for much of our needs to reduce cost.
- The 'Devils at Cradle' guide was very experienced and we enjoyed learning from him and watching the devils in the sanctuary.

If you do Marion's Lookout be aware that you need good mobility and aerobic fitness as there a sections that are steep and have a chain to assist the climb up.
Plenty of wombats at Waldhaim, was wet and windy so none at Wombat Pool.

The cradle mountain hotel is one of the 5-6 properties the close to the cradle mountain visitor lodge at a distance of just 900m. Closest are the weidham cabins further up Ronny creek and the peppers lodge for more accessible stay.
The rooms are very clean. Got to see a wallaby right outside my window.
WiFi is good.
Akash who checked us in was very helpful.
The food was good.
Free shuttle bus to connect to the cradle mountain shuttle bus. Very convenient. Indoor spa tub can help you recover from the trails. Warm fireplace keeps you warm and the balcony will have wild animals and easy to see the stars. The hotel itself has a lot of trails from 10minutes to 1 hour. The breakfast is very good.
We had an upgrade into the two bedroom deluxe cabins which are new. The underfloor heating was a lovely addition on the cold mornings. The cabin is fantastic and had all we needed, very comfortable. Easy to walk to the bus for Cradle Mountain and staff were super friendly and helpful.
Great location very close to the Cradle Mountain Visitor Centre and access to the national park. Cabin was very comfortable with kitchenette - we self catered for 2 nights and got takeaway from the hotel one night.
Lovely to have privacy and peace and quiet.
Highlanders was perfect - the cabins were well organised the staff wonderful and the location is perfect . Walking distance to the visitor centre to catch the bus to cradle mountain
