Cranbourne – 8 hotels and places to stay

Located in Cranbourne, 31 mi south-east of Melbourne, The Terrace is part of the award-winning Settlement Hotel complex. It offers a blend of old-world Victorian style with modern facilities.

The room and bathroom were clean and the absence of the smell of cigarettes was great. Room service was regularly done. The toiletry products were of nice quality, and we appreciate the fact that you recycle used soap bars. The balcony was a great feature in our room. Proximity to the town and nearby mall , as well as the Racecourse where most of our events were being held was excellent and convenient.

I was there for an athletics event, the property was only 8 minutes drive from the stadium, only positive.

As family lived in Cranbourne, we were there for the son's milestone birthday so seeing the city sights was not on the agenda. However, we did spend time in the city itself. The graffiti was out of control and in most cases offensive. Driving was a mad max experience with no tolerance for us who are not used to that volume of traffic. In summary it appeared dirty and tired that could do with a refresh and a cleanup, just sweeping the streets and footpaths can make it look so much better and remove the graffiti. Final comment from one in our party as we left was Q: i can see why everyone wants to move to QLD

Cranbourne is a good place for shopping and has some good cafes and restaurants with different cuisines, and the cost of meals is very reasonable, especially for families. It also has a race course and regular race meetings. It has a good bus service, and the buses go to a lot of different destinations.

The settlement hotel and facilities on site were exceptional. The staff were friendly, the restaurant and cafe and bar were welcoming, and I felt very safe being there on my own. The room service and amenities were exceptional. The bottle of water daily, the continental breakfast included, and the housekeeping services were remarkable. I did not have to ask for anything. There were plenty of towels and hand creams, shampoos and tea bags. The shortbread biscuits were very nice, and I felt it was a home away from home. Very relaxing and quiet.

The room was acceptable for my stay in Cranbourne but the only problem was with the shower. The water flow was very little and it took quite a while to get hot water to come out of the shower head. It took over 10 minutes for the hot water to come and because of the low water flow it took longer than expected to actually have a shower. Other than that problem everything else was acceptable

This is an old hotel but it has been refurbished. The room and bathroom was large. Large comfy beds for a family of four. Basic continental breakfast was included. Room was clean and great location for a nearby wedding.

Cranbourne Motor Inn is the worst place I have been ever to. The bedings are very old, the environment is proper ghetto. My wife and I did not stay there we had to book another place.
