AustraliaWe have stay at the motel before so that says it all. Good size room with Fridge/freezer, Microwave, cutlery, and plates. The bed was comfortable, and the towels were very soft. Our room was on the 1st floor looking towards the river with an outside balcony. The room was very quiet with no road noise. Breakfast was continental with juices, tea or coffee, toast and condiments.

Murwillumbah has a surprisingly good array of community services and plenty of restaurants, pubs and cafes, clothing shops, supermarket and pretty much any other type of retail you require, also, if needed a couple of hospitals. Didn't see the town as we were short on time.
Didn't see the town as we were short on time. Bought a few grocery items from IGA. Exiting the car-park was a little challenge but given the time of day, expected. A local fresh produce store was also located next to the pub. Had dinner at the pub next door which was enjoyable. Dined out on the verandah looking out over the river. The manager of the motel recommended visiting the local art gallery. There were rowers on the river early in the morning. Good Markets on both Wednesday and Sunday .
Good Markets on both Wednesday and Sunday . The cafes in the main street are very good. Choice of at least three good ones, and excellent Thai/ Vietnamese and Indian foods available at restaurants there. The Regional Gallery a few klms out on the edge of town is a must visit. The breakfast goods set aside for us to cook and the welcome platter were generous. The hosts were friendly. the drive into Murwillumbah through cane fields yields views of Womumbin and surrounds.
