Dargo is an iconic high country town, gateway to the High Plains, as good as it gets. you need to like driving twisty roads, and you will feel a bit out of place if you are not driving a 4wd ute, but that is OK. Charm is in its location on the Dargo River , the walnut groves, the early settlers cottages step you back in time, The Dargo Hotel has the reputation, but a tip from some of the locals is to give the Dargo River Inn a go.

BAD - booking at Dargo River Inn knowing they had wifi only to be told after we arrived via text message they had no wifi and offered no compensation for it, I needed wifi as part of my stay. BAD - only communication was via text, there was no one there over our stay BAD - Mice kept us busy over our stay, we had to cover doors with towels to reduce entry points but they were much more cunning than we were and still managed to get in only to freak my partner out. GOOD - Hot shower was great lots of water pressure to enjoy. GOOD - The bed was comfortable. GOOD - The View was nice while relaxing EXCELLENT _ DARGO the town is a great place to enjoy yourself, lots to see and do if you plan your trip before hand.
