Motel Dimboola is just 24 minutes’ drive from Horsham town centre. Guests receive free parking on-site. The motel is a 25-minute drive from both May Park and Horsham Regional Art Gallery.

The bed was comfortable and the sheets felt clean. Lighting was excellent. Bathroom was ok.

An interesting town with lots of retro and vintage influence. Even though it was described as ‘dying’ in early 2000s residents have made a huge effort to pump life back into it. Definitely worth a visit.

Dimboola is a great town, very friendly, and excellent base for exploring the local area or as a half way stop between Adelaide and Melbourne. We plan to spend several days there next time. We particularly enjoyed exploring the antique, collectable and gift shops (usually open Thursday to Sunday), walking along the Wimmera river, and had a wonderful dinner at Cat Clarkes restaurant at the local golf course. We would have liked to have eaten at the local Victoria Hotel (also recommended), but we did check out their dining room /restaurants...fantastic!

We like Dimboola, locals are friendly but if you go to the pub for a meal (very good) the boys in the front are friendly but raucous and drop a few f bombs. A few nice shops opening up and a wonderful river park precinct and close to the national park. lots of history.

There is not a lot on offer in Dimboola so we stayed here because it was one of the few places in town which offered an ensuite bathroom. The property is old and tired looking but it was clean and comfortable so suited our needs. It was also very affordable.

This little town is a memory of the 1960’s & 1970’s - Dimboola was on everyone’s lips - what a play! I remember a night out in Newtown Sydney in the ‘80’s replicating this. The town now, with its 70’s bric-a-brac stores, takes us right back there. The pub is the place to be in the Wimmera (or any where else for that matter!)

This town has so much potential, loads of old buildings, good coffee, breakfast, excellent pub which is a must visit. There is even a taxi service if you want to have a few drinks. I will be calling back there again for sure. There's only one motel which is quite dated but suits the purpose for one night and its quiet which is the best thing, off the highway. I also believe there is other accommodation there in private places which I might be checking out. They got a story in the latest Outback Magazine Aug/Sept 2023, so I think things are really starting to happen there.
