Self contained units clean and well stocked. The pool was refreshing and service around the pool was exceptional. A little bit expensive so I could only stay 3 nights but would've loved to stay more.

The reef and swimming with whale sharks is an unforgettable experience. The beauty of the area is unparalleled - the colour of the sea and the vastness of the land. This history is extraordinary and still relevant. The place is wild and unspoiled. It is not an easy tourist experience and you need to be fit.

Exmouth is a good base for the Ningaloo reef and beaches.
Exmouth is a good base for the Ningaloo reef and beaches. The town itself is nothing special and it's a bit of a drive (30-40mins) to the best beaches but its the only show in town! There are no other options. There are lots of activities (diving; snorkelling; fishing; etc) that can be arranged in the town. The Ningaloo area as a whole is stunning.

Plenty of options, easy to get around beaches.
Plenty of options, easy to get around beaches. Town beach close, Ningaloo Reef side need transport. Some beaches beautiful white sand blue water, others rocky to explore, rugged canyons, WWll history, fishing, snorkelling, plenty of tours available for all tastes, variety of options for meals.
Choose time of year to visit.

Yardie Creek tour and Cape range National Park were the highlights. Sunset from the Vlamingh lighthouse lookout was very special but get there early if you want a good spot. Restaurant options in Exmouth are diverse and the ones we visited Exhales, Whalers and Cadillacs were top quality. Great little bakery in the town centre too. Shothole canyon was a lovely spot for a picnic with great views that we had almost to ourselves. Best of all were the beaches and the warm sea water.

The organised tours to swim with whale sharks and snorkeling. Of the three off beach snorkeling Lakeside was glorious. Beware of sharp rocks and coral near the shoreline at Oyster that caused abrasions. We would never snorkel there again.

Exmouth and the surrounding areas such as Cape Range National Park are definitely worth visiting. The main detracting feature of the area is the cost of accommodation (probably due to its popularity) and other essential items such as fuel.

The ambience, location and facilities were great. Impressive and cool foyer. The pool was wonderful with children's pool separate and cosy egg shaped cabanas to escape into from the sun. The layout of the hotel room looking over the lily pond, swimming pool, beach and restaurant was extremely relaxing and the air con was excellent. Toiletries provided were lovely. The food was wonderful and the staff were friendly and quick to assist.
