The driveway was steep and my front wheel drive car struggled a bit to get up the hill, I also had to do a U-Turn on the narrow road to get up the entry as the corner was too sharp from the direction I traveled.

Fern Tree Gully leads to the Dandenong Ranges.
Fern Tree Gully leads to the Dandenong Ranges. A great tourist destination with outstanding scenery, small little villages to visit and loads of cafes and restaurants. Lots to see and do over a few days stay.

Every time we have travelled to Melbourne we have perfected to stay in Ferntree Gully but first time at Life Style Appartments which we now will book when we return to Melbourne, excellent accommodation with self service and able to cook own meals, with washing machine and dryer provided.
Was able to book additional night, manager’s were excellent in managing to fit us in, excellent service, highly recommend.

Great place to stay if you are intending to visit attractions in the area (such as Puffing Billy) or go sight seeing;
good supermarkets in the area for your supplies and great restaurants and takeaway stores;
public transport is reliable too.

The location was perfect for the night stay at the foothill of Dandenong ranges, just to avoid the pricier locations on the top. Cafes supermarkets are all closeby. No issues with parking. Puffin Billy is 10 minutes from Fern tree Gully.

The staff were amazing and so friendly, the room was very clean, well appointed and quiet. I left a credit card behind in the room, I rang when I realized. The staff were fantastic and sent it back to me by mail. Room service was perfect and delicious after a long day driving. I would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay again.
The place was awesome. Feels like we were in a 5-star hotel. The lovely team of Lifestyle Apartments at Ferntree made our first trip in Melb wonderful especially when we travelled with a toddler. They are very accommodating and friendly. The location is also perfect, there are various shops in the area and ample parking spaces. Thank you!
I have stayed here several times and the beds are super comfy. The hotel is set back from the main road and there is no traffic noise . Rooms are fresh and check in/out is a breeze.
Clean comfy room with en suite bathroom. Excellent value for money with complementary drinks at the bar and 10% discount on the running buffet at the hotel
