While I expected the hotel to be older in style, (i used to frequent the place as a younger person before the renovation in about 1995) the upstairs is a nice mix of vintage and new. I had the bathroom to myself the first two nights - water pressure was fantastic and HOT. Shampoo etc was fantastic that it was already in there. Bed was comfy and better than many places I've slept throughout the world! Really enjoyable stay. I come to visit my parents here and this gave us some room :) totally recommend.

Staff were very helpful as we were travelling in 2 cars, so helped us with an additional car spot.

A very clean, and spacious room, with secure undercover parking close to our door which made unpacking a breeze. We were offered an additional secure car parking space for our second car which we did not expect or request. When we arrived (late into the night), the heater in our room had already been turned on for us which we really appreciated - this shows that the owners are really thoughtful. Also we booked on the road and had no issues getting in or with communications with the owners. There were easy to understand signs at the entrance for after hours access. There were two TVs in our room which was unexpected but awesome. We were really pleased with our stay.

Everyone at the hotel was lovely and welcoming. We had to park a trailer and they were very helpful in that regard trying to find a location. The food at the hotel was excellent both for breakfast and dinner. We would definitely stay here again.
