The serenity of the location was wonderful. The views are just beautiful. So many things to do and see I wish I had more time there. It is far enough away from city centres to be away from everything yet close enough to go for a short drive to major stores.

How to rate Vine Hill as on booking.com it says it’s 3 1/2 stars which says it’s four stars it certainly a long way behind ridges for half a star for the price for the night. It wasn’t too bad however it was very rundown and probably not a place I’d recommend.

This location is easily accessed either by the motorway or the back street.
Approximately 15 minutes from Kurri Kurri and Cessnock. Breakfast supplies were more than generous. Milk, eggs, bacon, orange juice and teas and coffee.
You can also experience the Australian bush sitting on the back balcony.
Some kangaroos even greeted us on the road as we were arriving.
The cabin is very well appointed and good value for money.
The bed is comfortable with lovely linen. The whole cabin was spotless.
You can cook in the Kitchen, as I did, it has everything you need.
In my opinion, give Lovedale Cottages preference if looking in that area.
In the cabin itself there are many brochures, on what is available in the area, there are spectacular wineries just up the road.

Lovedale is a nice and pleasant part of the countryside.
Lovedale is a nice and pleasant part of the countryside. There are plenty of wineries, cafes, cellar doors, restaurants and places to walk. It is fairly central to all the other main Hunter hot spots but you need a car and someone to drive who does not drink

Easy access. Great scenery. Lovely roads to drive on.
Easy access. Great scenery. Lovely roads to drive on. So many interesting stops. To many for a weekend - which keeps you coming back. Great food and cafes but not a fan of the $15 tasting - with no discounts from purchases, but i understand some costs need to be covered, but thats $30 a stop for couples. Thats a good wine from places - but if you fit in 5 vineyards a day, it adds up, and i dont really need to taste a full range, especially if designated driver.

Wonderful area to visit and staying at The Crowne Plaza made our stay so very easy as they have catered for every aspect of our stay.
We attended a wedding at a nearby winery so got to enjoy some of the local scenery and wines of the area which were first class,
We had a meal at the Redsalt restaurant at the Crowne and could not recommend it more highly; such a wonderful experience.
Our only complaint is we didn't book our stay for longer.

Best part of this hotel is the location as it's right in Lovedale and the surroundings are beautiful. I appreciated that they let me change the date of my booking after our festival was postponed even though it was past the cut off date for any changes. They also were happy for us to check in early, 12pm instead of 2pm. Good communication from the hotel before our trip with instructions on how to get in the room and it was all contactless check in so we didn't see anyone.
Beautiful location, spacious and clean accommodation and very cosy! Staff at the winery and kitchen were super lovely and provided great service. The location was also super convenient, only 10-15 minute drive to lots of wineries and gardens in the Hunter Valley.
Also lovely estate to walk around , kangaroos everywhere in vineyards and lovely native wildlife - would 100% recommend anyone wanting a nice getaway.
The grounds were lovely. Lakes and trees, kangaroos and horses, hot air balloons bobbing by each morning. Beautiful outlook. Good location for access to Hunter Valley Gardens. The Australiana cottage loft room was a hit for the kids. The back verandah and dining room had a beautiful vista. There was some live music coming from adjacent winery at dinner time. I found the beds and pillows comfortable.
Breakfast was excellent, beds comfy though a little small but it is what was on the booking. The kids waterpark was excellent and the biggest pool I've seen at a hotel!
