The hotel seems to have been recently renovated, and all the facilities exceeded our expectations. The coffee machine was a great bonus! It’s an ideal choice for family trips, and its location makes visiting nearby wineries very convenient. Situated right in the heart of Maitland, the hotel is surrounded by shopping, dining, and leisure options. The riverside walkway was perfect for morning and evening dog walks. We stayed with our pet, and the pet fee was very reasonable. Overall, a fantastic experience!

Everything was great, We were close to all the shops and the wedding Venue, we were there for was within a stones throw from Maitland. Awesome accommodation and facilities in the rooms. I travel for work often and that was the most comfortable bed and sleep i ever had in a hotel. Thank you so much Quest hotel and the great staff you have.

I was there for the Collectors Plant Fair & booked 2 nights thinking I’d find something to do on Sunday. I came home early as I found the town had nothing much to offer. 7am Sunday I could not find any cafes open for breakfast & there wasn’t much open on Friday when I arrived. I was hoping to spend Sunday exploring some unique local boutique shops & cafes but I was disappointed. Put it this way, it’s not Berry.

Maitland has great architecture from times gone by but many have been or are being refurbished. It is on the Hunter River, so there's easy access to the river from a number of locations. The Maitland Regional Art Gallery never disappoints and I always visit there if I'm there during opening times. Maitland offers a great glimpse into regional Australia. The Family Hotel is a funky pub which offers a great bistro menu and craft beers.

Beautiful suburb with everything you need is in there.

Beautiful suburb with everything you need is in there. Lots of restaurants, petrol station almost in every block. Unfortunately, we feel that the locals are not so friendly with visitors/foreigners come to visit or to explore. They look at us like weird or strange.

The lack a blankets and room heating meant I had to get dressed to keep warm in bed during the night. I had stayed in a similar hotel at the same price in Lithgow for several nights previously, and a warm oil heater provided the comfort that was lacking at The Family Hotel, Maitland.

Friendly and helpful staff. Room was spacious and had all the facilities we expect from a motel. The location is excellent for our purposes. We have stayed at the Old Maitland Hotel several times and will happily stay again.
