Set in Tinaroo, 18 km from Curtain Fig National Park, Haven- Lake Tinaroo Resort offers air-conditioned accommodation with a patio and free WiFi.

It was amazing, literally the best value for money I’ve ever seen. We’re all looking for a special little best kept secret when it comes to booking holiday accommodation, and if you’re reading this - you’ve found it. It was so clean, not only has every amenity but also has the things you’ll need for cooking. Cutlery, salt and paper, baking paper, all the goodies. It was so easy to get in, they were also able to accommodate early check in for us. The views were amazing, it was so nice to wake up and step out for a walk by the lake. The apartment is very clean, modern and nicely decorated. The beds were soft and comfortable, everything smelled nice. There was not a single issue, not one. It was truly a pleasure to stay here

While staying in Mareeba we had the chance to attend the Great Northern Bull Riding Series on the 15th May 2023. My elderly mother had left her purse in the toilets on our way out after the event. On the way to dropping a family friend home she realized she had left it behind. We returned to the Rodeo Grounds, after asking at a few of the side venues we were feeling down hearted that we would not get it back. My daughter said let's try the bar, up she went and low and behold it had been handed in. In that purse were all my mother cards every card she needs and fifty dollars cash, it was all still in there. On the spot we asked God to bless the women who found it for the rest of her life, we have no idea who the lady was, but we thank her with all our hearts. So there is still some very honest people out there especial in Mareeba. We also visted the Coffee Works, wonderful gift ideas and everything coffee. We all had a coffee beautiful tasting coffee enjoyed by all. Fish and chips at Nasty's Fish N Grill was great too.

The Historical Display at the Information Centre is ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT and not to be missed. We also went to both Jaques Coffee Plantation and Skybury Coffee Plantation. They are both well worth the visit, and each offers a different perpective on coffee growing. Walking trips are also good (we walksed to Emerald Falls and were quite impressed especially since there has not been much rainfall lately. The Gateway Hotel for dinner was great!

This lovely town on the Tablelands has so much to offer.

This lovely town on the Tablelands has so much to offer. From the local coffee plantations to the MT Uncle distillery and all of the food options in town. Our favourite was the definately the deli. It has enough big city conveniences with the country charm. Be sure to visit the ice creamery at Emerald Creek and Granite Gorge. Its a perfect base to explore the rest of the tablelands.

A nice Queensland country town with a good mix of facilities and a great base for exploring the Tablelands. Can recommend the Jackaroo Motel and Gateway Hotel and the steaks at the Stockman's Grill.
