A perfect spot for a nice little getaway for the night. the room was cosy, clean and had all the basic amenities and more - even a light breaky for the morning. The fire pit was easy to get going, and had everything we needed. We took a short drive to Meeniyan and had some dinner, then went to the IGA next door and got some snacks for the evening. We didn't expect the house to be so close to the owner's home, but we didn't even notice they were around once we got settled! It was peaceful and serene otherwise :)

Meeniyan was a surprise town. I had actually never heard of it and only stayed one night due to attending a family function. I wished I had booked and stayed for longer! Such quaint shops, beautiful food shops & great coffee. The locals were so welcoming and the town had such a great vibe. Was disappointed we didn’t have time to check out the awesome looking pub or the town square. A very walkable town and only half hour drive from the beach. Meeniyan is a gorgeous town, it's central to lots of places of interest in South Gippsland and about an hours drive to Wilsons Prom. Everything you need is in the small shopping strip on the main street. Meeniyan is a Victorian classic, a small rural town on the highway. This year at least it was green and verdant in the middle of summer. It has good coffee shops and bakeries, and an art gallery which I mean to return to, since its window display looks great but it wasn't open at a time when I was available. There are very nice cafes, Moo is particularly good and the hotel has good meals. Great gift shops with very different items, many local artisans are represented, I was able to find some unique Xmas gifts at very reasonable prices. The motel is located in only 2 minutes walk from the Meeniyan town. There is a nice Pub and there are a variety of vegetarian food. The sheet and everything was great in the motel.
