The location very good, close walk to township. The property itself was charming and characterful, being the old pharmacy. It had a backyard, which added to the amount of space available to customers.

Our only dislike is the spiders webs that are on the screen doors.
Everything else we really love and thank you to Margaret for allowing us to enter earlier into the property.
This is our second time staying here and when we all are up that way again for the Millthorpe Markets we hope to book again

We loved our stay here - it was absolutely the perfect farm-esque getaway from the city. The property had a fully renovated kitchen and bathroom (with a rain shower head!) as well as the comfiest bedroom! Karen was the perfect host. She greeted us upon arrival as well as Emma and Frank (her furry little companions) and showed us around the place. She had even left out muffins and bread with eggs and milk in the fridge for our breakfast! She also let us know that there were carrots in the garden out back that we could pick to feed the horse in the yard. To go well above and beyond the role of a host, she even lent us parkas and jackets because we were underprepared for the chilly Orange evenings. The property was very cozy and lovingly furnished with thought placed in both functionality and aesthetics - for instance, a fully working kitchen with everything you'd need to cook anything. We really loved our experience here and our only complaint would be that we wish we had booked in another night.

Location bit out of town but was quiet, excellent parking facilities out front. Modern complex. Room was clean, and had everything we needed. Bedding was very comfortable and no noise issues obvious from adjacent rooms. Could have eaten at restaurant on night but chose not to. Did have hot & cold breakfast there in morning and was lovely. Staff were pleasant and efficient with check in and out. Got a room upgrade on arrival which was great!
Set in Orange, The Great Western Hotel features free WiFi throughout the property. The property is non-smoking and is situated 400 metres from Wade Park.

I could not speak more highly of the Millthorpe motel.
I could not speak more highly of the Millthorpe motel. The proprietors/staff were exceptional as was the cleanliness of the rooms, the convenience of facilities and the beautiful town of Millthorpe.
Wonderful meals are available in the local hotel. Convenient shopping in the local IGA is a two minute walk away. There are also interesting clothing and jewelry shops on the main street.
Some of the most notable things about the town of Millthorpe are the friendliness of the people, the tidiness and cleanliness of the town, the long lost tradition of a local book borrowing book shelf outside the towns IGA, open for use 24 hours a day..
There is extraordinary tradition introduced by the local school pupils which entails writing a message on stones and placing them throughout the town. The ritual continues when you find a stone with a message you take it with you and place in in another location within the town.
If you have the need to go to a large town or city, Orange it a thirty minute drive away.
If you prefer a rural country drive the world is your oyster.
These are elements of a time past in the town Millthorpe. A wonderful long lost community spirit that is sadly lost within our larger towns and cities.
What a beautiful town in both culture, and presentation. Five Star.

Beautiful quaint little town reminded me of hinterland.in Qld Nice friendly people, businesses very welcoming. I was disappointed that between 3 and 5 the only facility to offer food was the IGA . I had driven non stop for nearly 4 hours and needed sustenance. I would return to Millthorpe in the future and be prepared for the areas of need for me. The market was very well organised and amazing 10 out of 10

Our accommodation was in the centre of the lovely historic village, close to restaurants and quaint local stores - perfect for walking and exploring the village. Although we were enroute to Melbourne, staying overnight and travelling with a small dog, we would love to return for a longer visit to fully explore the region.

It is a lovely, unusual, quiet, picturesque and 'English-feeling' village in Australia - unlike most 'linear' modern sprawls. Interesting little supermarket and lovely friendly Providore where we got some breakfast, and is obviosuly a meeting place for the locals. The station has reopened and there are daily trains to Sydney (5 hrs, get the right carriage!) and a station chocolate cafe, but it was not open before 9, and looked pricey. Definietly worth a visit and an overnight if you are going that way - but noter that it is a much lopnger route from Sydney to Melbourne!

A beautifully maintained and friendly historical Australian town with wonderfully preserved heritage dwellings (from hotels, colonial style homes and a winery shop). The local pub was friendly place with lovely food, as were the Providore and Old Mill cafe. A gem of a place with a quiet peaceful country ambiance which I pray will not be destroyed by noise and unbridled suburban development.

There is one very good restaurant, several fine wine outlets, a pub, several cafes, shops and an occasional tapas bar. Easy walk around town with some beautiful gardens and a few places of historical interest to see, but the museum is only open at week-ends. Additional accommodation will apparently soon be available at the Commercial Hotel, which is in the throes of being renovated.

A beautiful stay in this lovely cottage. Millthorpe is a gorgeous, quaint little town. The cottage is in an excellent location, very easy walk to shops, cafes and restaurants. The cottage is spacious and comfortable. Charming cottage garden out the back. The log burning fire was a nice cosy touch for the chilly autumn nights. Would love to stay here again!
Beds very comfortable, beautifully renovated hotel, parking on site, rooms very clean and comfortable. Quiet except for a little early morning weekday traffic. Interesting village
