Short stay on the way through to Hervey Bay, but it was lovely to see the silo art and also the miners’ memorial (sobering to say the least); it was a fitting tribute to these men. Sadly, because it was that in between Christmas and New Year period, one of the best cafes, The Atmosphere Cafe, was closed. The local Indian restaurant/ cafe was exceptional. The Mitre 10 was the best looking store in town, as we normally find in regional towns!
