The Hotel was central to everything. Would stay here again in a heart beat. The room was modern and comfortable tied in with that old heritage building charm. Recommend.

Mudgee is a small town which has many of the shops found in larger cities. There is not much by way of special attractions other than the wine industry, which is really good. Besides several great wineries, we visited a cheese factory as well as Honey Haven which supplies a large range of honey products. The only disappointment was that the nearby Putta Bucca Wetlands walking track was closed for maintenance as it is considered a good spot for photographing waterbirds. Two wineries we particularly ok enjoyed were Robert Stein winery and Pieter Van Gent winery.

The Mudgee Homestead Guesthouse was an amazing place to stay with excellent customer service, lead by Shaun who was very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable, nothing was too much trouble for him.
Absolutely beautiful surroundings, very private , gorgeous property. Delicious homemade wine tasting on the day of arrival.
The owner, Shaun is considered a wine connoisseur or sommelier. He is someone who loves and knows a lot about wine, possibly with extensive knowledge of regions, grape varieties, and winemaking.
Thanks Shaun and Karan for all your help and support during our short stay at your place

Absolutely love Mudgee! We stayed for 4 nights.
Absolutely love Mudgee! We stayed for 4 nights. Perfect amount of time. Visited Di Lusso Estate, Blue Wren Farm, Lazy Oak Winery, Robert Stein Winery, Peter Van Gent Winery. Such an amazing range of food places that are all priced reasonably, and have incredible food. Absolutely love Mudgee Brewing Co & Althea by Zin. Some really nice walks to do also, including around Lawson Park, The Drip (35 min drive from town), and Lake Windamere. Lots of nice boutique shopping to do too in the Main Street. Will be back!

Mudgee is a very popular destination an easy drive from Sydney and and heaps to do. If you ride a motorcycle so many different country roads to ride and experience. If you are coming via Denman get an Aussie burger from the takeaway. The best I have had in decades you will not be disappointed.

Had everything you need for a stay. Patio with grill, washer and dryer, kitchen with all appliances etc.
Private and secluded yet close to town. We walked into town but was quite a walk. Great central location for visiting local wineries.

Oriental Hotel is a great spot for a cocktail and a meal.
Oriental Hotel is a great spot for a cocktail and a meal. It's in town near Coles.
Include 791 Estate winery on your wine tour. Fiona and/or Gabi will look after you with the wine tasting. You can also enjoy a snack or meal there.Tough decision will be which wines to buy, cause all are delicious.
Logan Wines is the place if looking for a memorable view, whilst sampling a wine or two. You can also get a great cheese board there, but get there before 3.30pm.

Very clean, lots of parking, large shower and plenty of hot water. Of special note: excellent lighting making reading anywhere, including in bed, a breeze - so rare to get good lighting in hotels/motels these days as mostly rooms are annoyingly dim. Weather was cold and damp outside during our stay but room was cosy all night - we left reverse-cycle heating on overnight. V comfortable bed, linens and towels. Generous assortment of toiletries.
Fantastic , clean and comfortable location. Staff were very friendly and super helpful. Close to the pubs and restaurants but also further enough away that our hotel stay wasn’t disturbed with noise. We stayed in one of the Junior suites and it had everything we needed and more. Lovely extra touches like complementary snacks and bath salts for the bath!! We will for sure stay here again!
The location is very close to the centre of Mudgee, it is an easy walk. We liked the bistro at the hotel, our dinner there was excellent. Our room was big, the two single beds comfortable and the shared bathrooms had excellent, hot showers (a bath was also available in each). A small negative was that our room should have had a mirror above the wash basin.
The cottage was spaciou,s, well furnished and very comfortable Would definitely stay there again if we go to Mudgee. Is pet friendly but you wouldn't know it is so clean and no pet smells.
