We had a room away from the road which was very quiet. A great place to stay close to shops. But if it was raining it might be a little less comfortable becaue of the outdoor stairs access.

The hotel is in a great central location. The room was very spacious, comfortable and well appointed. It is on a busy street but there is soundproofing on all the windows which took care of the majority of the noise. Being able to sit out on the balcony at the end of the day with a lovely Mudgee wine was a welcome addition. The reception staff were super friendly and helpful. The cafe downstairs was a great added bonus.

Great little pub, very clean, nice atmosphere, friendly staff & we weren't disturbed by the Saturday night pub crowd! Much nicer than a budget motel. We would definitely return.

It was Booking.com fault that our rooms were not together, and also one room was not twin beds, but the temporary manager that booked us in, got a fold up bed and was very helpful. His wife was also very helpful, both very pleasant people.

Mudgee is a very popular destination an easy drive from Sydney and and heaps to do. If you ride a motorcycle so many different country roads to ride and experience. If you are coming via Denman get an Aussie burger from the takeaway. The best I have had in decades you will not be disappointed.

Had everything you need for a stay. Patio with grill, washer and dryer, kitchen with all appliances etc.
Private and secluded yet close to town. We walked into town but was quite a walk. Great central location for visiting local wineries.

Oriental Hotel is a great spot for a cocktail and a meal.
Oriental Hotel is a great spot for a cocktail and a meal. It's in town near Coles.
Include 791 Estate winery on your wine tour. Fiona and/or Gabi will look after you with the wine tasting. You can also enjoy a snack or meal there.Tough decision will be which wines to buy, cause all are delicious.
Logan Wines is the place if looking for a memorable view, whilst sampling a wine or two. You can also get a great cheese board there, but get there before 3.30pm.

Mudgee is a nice place if your after a quiet getaway and not too far from major towns, the country side is beautiful, the shop have the olden day appeal, their renovations have not taken that away, the old homes are still lived in and the clock tower still works, it's great to see old photos of Mudgee to present day.
We stayed at Parklands resort, it is elegant and peaceful, they have their own resteraunt on site so you don't have to leave the property unless you wish to

Mudgee is a well designed town. Lots to see and do. Very clean. Even the outdoor rubbish bins were cleaned.
Shops are unique. People are friendly. Wide streets and sensible drivers. No tailgating!!! Many cafes to choose from.

A group of old friends and our young families all descended on mudgee for our friends babyshower. We travelled from the nsw south coast, Newcastle, the Centeal Coast and Sydney. What we all thought was amazing about this property: SPOTLESS! So clean and tidy. So so well equipped, especially for travellers with families. Nice and easy walk to town, 5 mins Max.
The location is very close to the centre of Mudgee, it is an easy walk. We liked the bistro at the hotel, our dinner there was excellent. Our room was big, the two single beds comfortable and the shared bathrooms had excellent, hot showers (a bath was also available in each). A small negative was that our room should have had a mirror above the wash basin.
Hotel was lovely and staff friendly. Loved the upstairs communal verandah. Room was very comfortable and the Nespresso machine and complimentary snacks were a nice touch. Centrally located within walking distance of pubs/restaurants etc.
