It was pretty unique, quite cosy, nicely decorated, too. The private spa facilities were amazing, the sauna was SO HOT it was lovely, and we really enjoyed the outdoor areas, and the bubbly hot tub! We only stayed one night, but it was so nice to crack open a bottle of chilled wine, make ourselves some food in the nicely stocked kitchenette (utensils wise), and really relax with a nice film after enjoying the sunset in the hot tub. We were greeted by some very cute dogs, who were so friendly, and that was a really nice addition. In the morning, we had a nice hot bath and a few cups of yummy coffee that was provided by the owner.

Loved the location in the bush setting, and loved the mudbrick cottage. The children loved feeding the alpacas thanks to Esther's generosity to accommodate our early departure. My Japanese family loved all the bird life and being able to see so many stars in the night sky.

The studio is really beautifully decorated with lovely original paintings in Japanese style. All the furniture is very tasteful and the bed is super comfortable. The place is carefully built and has a lovely tiny back garden. The kitchen is well equipped, and everything is so clean, so that we felt really comfortable and regretted only staying for one night.

Amazing vineyard accommodation!
We stayed in the settlers cottage and it was spotlessly clean and had thoughtful additions like a fruit bowl, fresh eggs and bread - so lovely!!

We were passing through and spent one night in Pemberton. A small country town with plenty on offer. A pub, cafes and other shops. The pub meal was good. The Pemberton train company ride is worthwhile. Unfortunately, there wasn't much water coming over the falls during March, but that was to be expected. Great commentary and scenery. Plenty of walks but one thing to do on a clear night is to go slightly out of town and have a look at the stars - AMAZING! Enjoy.

Check in was easy with private parking directly outside the ground floor room. Clean room with a/c, TV and fridge. Food in the bar was tasty with large potions and well priced. Options to sit indoors or on the large outdoor terrace.Hotel was quiet after 10pm. Local open air swimming pool and Pemby tram ride attraction 5 mins walk. Good one night stopover on a road trip.

Big Brook Dam is an amazing place.
Big Brook Dam is an amazing place. Beautiful lake with a swimming beach. The water is gorgeous- really quite warm. There is a hard path all the way round (4k) which is perfect for running or walking. There are bird spotting hides, picnic tables and toilets/changing rooms. It’s 5k from Pemberton.

Cat and Jon, the owners of Serenity House in Pemberton go way beyond what would be expected.
They are friendly hosts, the accommodation is first rate.
They offer a first class information folder for guests.
Breakfast had fresh produce each morning.
Highly recommended.
Lovely little cottage in the middle of the bush but not too far from Pemberton and a few minutes drive to Karri Valley Resort. Resident kangaroos and emus everywhere and owners were very welcoming and hospitable.
For what we paid for the accommodation breakfast was a loaf of bread some yoghurt one each of apple orange and pear. Coffee sachets were black inside I think they were old.
Peaceful Escape
No internet, NO free to air TV - perfect way to disconnect from work & the world & immerse yourself in everything the Karri Valley has to offer.
