AustraliaLarge rooms which were decorated well. The room was clean and the cutlery/glassware provided were a pleasant surprise (specifically the wine glasses were full sized and this was a stark contrast to other hotels previously stayed at). Noise was minimum and the location is great.

United StatesEverything was excellent, beautiful outdoor sitting area, the kitchen / common living area has a big window where you can watch kangaroos drink water, the rooms were comfortable. Saw a good amount of kangaroos passing through. Kitchen well stocked with kitchen supplies used for cooking. Keep the bird feeder full of water and the kangaroos will keep coming!!

Penneshaw was easy access from Sealink so we made that our base and travelled each day to various locations. We drove to Kingscote but there didn't appear to be anything open, so whether it was because of the time of year. Glad we chose Penneshaw. Penneshaw was great.
Penneshaw was great. Quiet and close to ferry and food options. When you get off the ferry you think there is not much here but look around the side streets and you find many options. It is only half an hour to Kingscote and to the main tourist loop. Penneshaw has a beautiful safe beach, skate park and playground plus hikes for the more adventurous. There is a small supermarket for anything you may need to be self sufficient. The ocean views from the apartment were amazing. The apartment was well equipped and had everything we needed. It was not far from the ferry terminal. It was close to the ferry and great local food. Great home base to get to all the sights. The little penguin night tour is excellent. People were wonderful and friendly. Great beach to walk along and swim in close to accomodation. Millpond where we stayed was excellent 5 star property for us we would stay there again and recommend it. Great views from the Millpond. It is a goodvidea to do your research beforehand and plan your trip. We wanted an overall look at the island itself and to eat out occasionally. We achieved our goal in five days some long and some short and with built in rests. Other people may want to participate in activities and there seem to be plenty of options. Although it is an island highlights are spaced so be prepared fir lots of driving whatever your choices. And look out for the native animalsGuest review byDonaldAustralia

The room was really comfortable and spacious, and the balcony was a particular treat, with views over the ocean and back to the Australian mainland. It had all the things I needed for a comfortable, self-catered stay, and I particularly appreciated the use of the shared microwave in the common area. The tent had plenty of room and the sheets were nice and some furnishings provided to make it comfortable. Also like the raised deck and table outside. It was also a short traipse to the bathrooms.
