Pickering Brook – 2 hotels and places to stay

Offering a garden, Airport budget room provides accommodations in Perth. This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. Outdoor seating is also available at the homestay.

One of the most economic options for staying in Perth. Very clean and with all the amenities someone might need. The location was ok for me but I had a car which made it a lot easier to get there.

I thought the motel was very good and the meals at the tavern were great. Easy to access the motel and security was good. Very clean room and bathroom.

Built in 1841, the historic Rose & Crown Hotel features free Wi-Fi, 3 restaurants and a bar. Surrounded by shops and cafés on leafy Swan Street, it offers rooms with a flat-screen TV.

Staff were friendly & helpful. Nice old building, well maintained. The pub/restaurant nicer than the accommodation which was basic but comfortable. Nice pool which we made good use of as it was very hot when we were there. Nice meals in the outdoor restaurant, the mist sprays very welcome to help keep it a bit cooler. No breakfast options, but nice cafes close by. Good location in the centre of town, close to restaurants etc. Not a good place to stay if you want a good night’s sleep though, it’s right under the flight path & aircraft noise is a problem.

The rooms are huge in this hotel, bathroom is huge as well and very clean. I like the layout of the rooms as you get heaps of sunlight. The beds are our favorite as it is very comfortable. Free parking as well.

Featuring free WiFi and an onsite bar and restaurant, Sanno Marracoonda Airport Hotel offers accommodations just 5 minutes' drive from Perth Airport.

Only booked for 1 night as it is very close to the airports and has a free shuttle to the airports. It is also walking distance (preferably without carrying your luggage) to THL, Maui, Britz, Apollo Camper van hire facility on Great Eastern Highway, where I had to drop my hired camper van back to. ( I did drop bags into the hotel first). It is also only a 15 minute walk along to the airport DFO, Woolworths supermarket, Cosco. The room I was in was a bit dated, big, but adequate for the night. Although it would have been nice to have had a hot shower, the water coming out of my shower was only just luke warm both at night time and in the morning. They give you a complementary bottle of wine, a packet of chips,, 2 small chocolate bars and a couple of small bottles of water in the room. There is also a jug to heat up hot water, a couple of mugs and teaspoons. Tea, coffee, sugar, and little milk sachets in the fridge. It would have been nice to have some other crockery in the room or a microwave as well, to heat up some left over food I had. ( I suppose I could have asked for some, but didn't). There is an onsite restaurant for dinner or breakfast. I didn't use it, due to time restraints I had, and as I was looking at the menu on the window , there wasn't any food that accommodated my gluten free dietary requirements. The bus to the airport is good but give yourself plenty of time to get there, they do a driver shift change over about 7 am and 7 pm. I arrived at reception at 6.20 to get the bus out, but had to wait till 7 am for the bus due to shift change, not arriving at T1 or T2 till 7.25am. They stop at T3 and T4 first. You need to book the bus online early via a QR code or ask at reception. The bus only seats 9 people, so early in the morning if you haven't booked you could be left waiting for the next bus and be late for your flight.
