This is a renovated cottage farmstay type accomodation with two bedrooms, bathroom and living room and less than 10 minutes drive from Port Arthur Reception. Comfortable and well equipped and a helpful owner who introduced our party to his Highland cattle who like a comb and a rub.. Maybe a bit rough for some, if you are seeking something different, this is the one.

The Shed had it all, great spacious, clean accommodation, decked out with everything you could need. A bonus was the wildlife at dusk in the backyard.

Extraordinarily beautiful location with the most magnificent views - simply stunning. The eco-cabin was delightful, equipped with all the necessary modern essentials without detriment to that 'get away from it all' stay. We loved the freedom from connection with the rest of the world, albeit for one night. We were met on arrival by Phil and taken straight up to the cabin - very simple and friendly.

We happened to find Stewarts Bay Lodge after our original booking was cancelled while we traveled. We were desperate to find something in Port Arthur and thankfully we did. We had a cabin with a kitchen, a dining area, living room and 2 bedrooms. It would be ideal for a family of 4. We loved it. I would love to go and spend a week at Stewarts Bay. There is a lot to do, hiking, boating, sight seeing and just hanging out.
Port Arthur is a terrific place to visit!!! There is lots to see and do here. The Port Arthur Historic Site is fantastic. We took a guided tour of the site before we started looking around. Our tour guide was exceptional and really knew her stuff. The cruise around Carnarvon Bay which is included in the price was also great. The site is not the only attraction at Port Arthur. There are also a number of geographical features on the peninsula that are worth a look (e.g. Remarkable Cave, Tasman Arch, Devil's Kitchen). The Tasmanian Devil Unzoo at Taranna should not be overlooked either!

A beautiful setting, carefully honouring the tragedies of past and recent times. The cafe is so much more than that - staff were welcoming, friendly, helpful with directions, and the 'story-tellers' of PA's history was absolutely charming and spot-on with their delivery and facts.

Day 1 was at Port Arthur. It's beautiful but sobering. A must do.
Day 2 Tasman Island cruise. Brilliant. We saw whales (out of season), seals and tons of dolphins and seabirds. The boat trip was fun and the scenery spectacular. A must, must, must do.

The Port Arthur prison complex was very interesting and thought provoking. Beautifully presented and choc full of information.
There was a lovely walk along a beach and into a wooded headland adjacent to Port Arthur.

Need to get there in the morning and book an after lunch Isle of the Dead tour (Highly recommended). We got there after lunch and had to skip around to the main things which meant we missed the detail.
Due to our planned trip itinerary, we arrived on the wrong day to book a ghost tour, so disappointed but our fault (We have had a few of these in different states and they are great if you like that sort of thing-No not scary but very good details of history!).

Excellent location! Really a holiday park. Lots of Tasmanian pademelons running around the plot. (so be careful driving in.) Would totally use the pizza oven, call in advance to use that. Staff were friendly and flexible with checking in late and checking out early. Beds are a bit springy and thin but we all slept very well regardless.
