Great final stop after doing the sights along The Great Ocean Road.
The town has many older homes and properties which are all beautifully maintained.
The Victoria Hotel is recommended for dinner. No parmis and burgers here which is a plus.

The food was just amazing.
The coffee is just piping hot.
The beach was perfect! East Beach !!
The sand wasn't hard under the feet as alot of other beaches, it was almost spongy. !
Port Fairy is probably missed by alot of travellers if they don't turn off.
Thats what we had dome while travelling the G.O road.
Fantastic fishing in the river/inlet. Snapper, shark, and loads more the fisherman told us.
We were there for the Port Fairy Saturday markets and met the most awesome stall holders !!
Vicki and Ken- your garlic products are just amazing !
Kelly- your jewellery was beautiful.
We bought a full bag of organic crispy apples .
The Information Centre ladies were so helpful and it's where you hire bikes !
The Folk Festival is on next weekend and we will just miss it, but they had already started setting up with massive tents and marquees, looks quite impressive! It's obviously a huge event.
We will definitely be making this town our annual holiday destination

I recently stayed at Port Fairy YHA, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The historic building has a lot of charm, and the atmosphere was cozy and welcoming.
The room was clean and comfortable, though a bit basic. It had everything needed for a short stay. Some of the furnishings felt slightly dated but still functional.
The YHA is perfectly located in the heart of Port Fairy, within walking distance of cafes, shops, and the picturesque coastline. It’s ideal for exploring the town and surrounding areas.
Truly exceptional, we loved everything, definitely the place to be in Port Fairy. Unbeatable beachfront location with elevated panoramic beach and ocean views. So comfortable and relaxing, lovely, private and secluded yet close to everything, parked the car day 1 and walked everywhere. This is quite unique and our hosts are wonderful. We'll be back next year.
Lovely boutique hotel with fabulous staff. Great communication. Bar and waiting staff excellent! Had a drink in the garden afternoon bar and also the wee bar in hotel....great recommendations from the bar staff. Then a lovely meal and fabulous breakfast.
Attic room was very small but comfortable. Will be back, tho in a bigger room!
And Port Fairy lovely!
Beautiful little apartment tucked away a short walk from the Main Street and East Beach. Comfortable and warm for some chilly nights - perfect for a couple.
