The location was outstanding and within easy walking to main street shops, cafes and restaurants. Breakfast was a variety of continental choices and we especially loved the homemade jams! The room was spacious and very well appointed, warm and very comfortable.

Scenic ride from Davenport, breathtaking features, and quiet township. Accommodation was perfect and owners laid on the hospitality. Had one of the best steaks at the Tavern which had a great view over the foreshore. Will definitely return.

Stanley is a stunning town.
Stanley is a stunning town. The Nut is wonderful to climb if you want exercise or you can go up in the Chairlift. I would suggest walking the circuit up the top anti-clockwise as the views are better. The town is cute but not enough open. Food great.

A visit to Stanley wouldn't be complete without a visit to the Hursey Fish and Chip shop. They are so good! The Community shop is always great for puchasing handmade arts and crafts. The beaches are deserted, clean and postcard perfection.

We loved the whole area.
We loved the whole area. Stanley itself was quaint and full of interesting houses and buildings
Highfields looked amazing and we were sorry we didn't have time to do a tour through it. We didn't get time to do the chairlift up to the top of The Nut. However we were thrilled to have snagged a wonderful viewing of the penguins at 9pm the night we stayed. Both local tour guides did a brilliant job of explaining penguins habits life cycle etc Jen was fantastic. I can't remember the male volunteers name now but he was very helpful and knowledgeable too.We thoroughly enjoyed walking about and we had delicious fish and chips at the local Stanley Seafood

Stanley is a small town with a lot of character and well worth a visit.
We signally planned to stay for one night but added another and are so glad we did.
There are quaint shops and houses, great beaches and lovely views. The Nut is definitely worth exploring and you could spend an afternoon at Highfield House.
At Godfrey's beach there is a free viewing platform where you can watch the penguins coming in at dusk.
We enjoyed dinner so much in the Stanley Hotel Bistro that we went back the next day so didn't have a chance to try anything else in the town.

The cabin was so beautiful! It was very comfortable and the design was great! The only extra things that we would have liked would be ice in the freezer and a little outdoor coffee table in front of the deck chairs. We loved the location, private, quiet, away from town, gorgeous view of the inlet and wildlife everywhere. The bottle of wine and cheese, paste and crackers were a lovely treat - very much appreciated! Our two night stay was the perfect way to finish off our two week holiday in Northern Tasmania.
Given it was off season and many restaurants/cafes were closed, we had a wonderful stay. We felt it was rather pricey at the rate we paid. Continental Breakfast was included however other daytime and evening meals were limited in comparison to other towns in Tasmania. Overall it's absolutely delightful; a beautiful facility without doubt; such a picturesque part of the world; great hosts and highly recommended and beautifully styled.
One of the greatest places in Tasmania!
We have been to several places for our friends but this place was the best so far :)
The fire place was set up nicely and the balcony area has enough space for us to have bbq and speaker was set up as well ! Plus, a little gaming area was entertaining:) definitely will come back some day again ! Thank you so much !
Loved our stay ,easy walk to town . Our room was beautiful and secreted away from main house which we loved.
Katinka is an absolute gem friendly and really cares about her property.

Stanley is such a beautiful town and the view from the hotel was amazing. Our room was lovely and clean with enough room for the 4 of us. The playgrounds were an added bonus for the kids.
