Offering free WiFi, free BBQ facilities and rooms with a flat-screen TV with cable channels and a DVD player, Coorrabin Motor Inn is just 5 minutes’ drive from the popular Big Hill Lookout.

Room was large and suited our needs for a one night stay for a family catch up. Was worried that road noise would be a problem, but it was fine, the large trucks passing were strangely comforting and didn't disturb my sleep. My husband found the motel quiet and didn't notice any truck noise at all. No confusion as to what was allowed regarding the use of facilities.

A recently renovated bed and breakfast set in Stawell, The Corner Store B&B features a garden. Guests can benefit from a terrace and a picnic area.

Quick stop on our way from Melbourne to Adelaide, the Corner store was a great stop off. Three beds to choose from, lots of space, lovely new bathroom and older style kitchen but had everything we needed (and more - eg. Milkshakes!!!!). Very clean and tidy and with great communication from the hosts. Easy parking outside.

Set in Great Western, 30 km from Halls Gap, Great Western Motel features air-conditioned rooms. Free WiFi is available in public areas. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar.

I liked that the room was roomy and clean, the furniture was satisfactory and in good condition. Nothing new and fancy but all I needed. The bathroom had been renovated. I was there for a place to sleep and shower which this motel provided more than adequate.

Stawell is a very interesting historic town.

Stawell is a very interesting historic town. The local Stawell Gift Museum is well worth a visit. It details history of the internationally renowned foot race and is found at the grounds where the race is held. Lois was a very friendly and knowledgeable guide. Find the lookout for an overview of town and surrounding area. Couple of great cafes eateries in town. We were lucky enough to dine at the Stawell Harness Racing Bistro and you couldn't find better food. The wineries surrounding are well worth visiting in particular Best Winery.

We only stopped here on a long road trip so did not see much of the town. However there were very few good eating options - the pub was the best and it was very nice. The town is very good for an overnight stop but not sure what there is to do there otherwise.

A lovely town with great history , nice gardens , especially the Kato Lake area right in the heart of the town . Good choices of places to eat , highly recommend Trackside Tabaret for variety, quality and value for money . Also the Chinese restaurant in the main street . Close to The Grampians , wineries , and other nice places to explore .

easy access to the Grampians and surrounding areas , plenty of cafes for coffee and places to dine and takeaways , nice little town with friendly people . I would avoid the Diamond House Heritage Restaurant and Motor Inn ... for a start there is no restaurant , no microwave in the room and no room service
