Tanunda is a lovely town, full of great cafes and bars, a bit quiet at night but with a group you make your own fun. There are so many wineries so close, you can even do a day walking to some of them. Amazing winery cellar doors and great restaurants. Recommend Rockford and Greenock Creek wineries. Also Lous restaurant for lunch. Very central to Barossa Valley wineries, short drive to Maggie Beer’s Farm Shop, plenty of beautiful restaurants, cafes, pubs in the Main Street. Loved the restaurant 1918 - Food was delicious, staff were knowledgeable about the wine, fire was warm and cosy. We were spoilt for space after staying in different motels and hotels along our journey. It really felt like coming home each night. Bed so comfortable and great shower, kitchen fully equipped. Lots of eating options close by, but we ate in their restaurant, which provided a good value meal. There was a range of clientele, from families with children to couples and groups.
