Birches B&B is exceptional. Everything was beautiful; our bed was so comfortable plus we had our own little adjoining lounge with tv and ensuite, so private. Ken and Mark are wonderful hosts and they provided not only amazing accommodation but also a delicious cooked breakfast with incredible coffee. They are friendly, helpful and generous hosts. We were so lucky that they had a vacancy and were able to experience their beautiful accommodation in Taree. Absolutely 5 stars from us.

I attended a VWGA golf tournament from Sunday to Wednesday and experienced a friendly atmosphere and the golf course was very challenging but nice to play. Any golfers I would recommend to travel to Taree to play a round or two. Access to everything easy. Would recommend the Sailo's restaurant on the river bank for a meal.

Very nice country town.
Very nice country town. The last time I syayed was in the 70's and it has kept its character and ambience.
Some nice eateries and all the major supermarkets etc.
The only negative is the road condition in the main shopping areas was horrendous. Outside Central plaza, where Woolworths was located, it was like a goat track driving at the speed limit. Elsewhere not much better.

We stayed overnight, arriving at 4pm and leaving at 7am so we didn't see much but can definitely recommend Cafe Nosh for breakfast - great coffee and excellent food at a good price. Taree is just slightly off the freeway so it's a good spot to stop after 6-7 hours in the car.

Previous to my stay at Riverside Vintage Home I had driven through Taree a number of time and did not really think much of it. Having stayed there overnight I realised what a diverse town and one that has some great attractions. Definately stay and view more of Taree next time I travel up the east coast.

The local MTB tails were very good.
The local MTB tails were very good. As most country towns make sure you have your take-away meals before 7:30pm as you won't have much choice after that time as everything will be closed, except the big chain take-away stores. Will be spending more time in Taree next time.

I was able to get into my room quickly.
I was able to get into my room quickly. I was quite tired that evening so I just wanted to lye down. The bed was comfortable. I had a nice shower and felt comfortable.
There was quite a lot of noise from other guests and I really didn’t get a good nights sleep because people started waking around in the unit above me at 6am.

There are some little details that show the property managers are thinkers, they are only small things but they make the stay more enjoyable. It's probably one of the best roadside motels that I've stayed in for a while. If you are overnighting in Taree then I would definitely recommend a stay. It is also just a 100m walk to the Manning River Hotel which serves a very good dinner.
Not just the hotel, the whole town is extremely clean, I'm from Sydney and we are used to walls with graffiti and back alleys smell of pee but this town, the hotel, everything is just super clean, it feels kinda unrealistically clean, it's like the whole town is controlled by clean freaks. But of course absolutely no complaints from there.
We were given a room facing the river that also had a verandah area outside which was great, with Views to river and bridge. The hotel is within walking distance of the Main Street, a number of pubs and take aways and the boat club. Reasonable price compared to other accomodation in the area.
Quiet, good instructions in the room, well appointed, comfy bed ( good night's sleep ), shower was nice ( hot water ), nice afternoon sun in my room!
Wifi was good as well; all in all when I come to Taree again, this would be my first choice to stay!
Very comfortable & attractive apartment. Well stocked with supplies. Worth visiting Taree just to stay here (and it's not far to the lovely beach at Old Bar).
