The home is styled to perfection, with every little detail thoughtfully considered to ensure a comfortable and relaxing experience for my husband, our two kids, and myself. The kitchen was exceptionally well-stocked with everything we needed, and the added perks—streaming subscriptions, games, and a delightful bottle of sparkling wine as a welcome gift—made it even more special. Tenterfield is a dream. Beautiful gardens (especially Behind the Hedge, White's Cottage and Ivy Leaf Chapel). Gallery stores along the main road, Rouse street, including Antiques and My Notes From Gallery and Store (234 Rouse). Lara is such a talented photographer and poet. Best place to eat is definitely The Courtyard Cafe (Rouse Street) opposite Coles. Run by locals serving locals and extremely affordable. The Information Centre has been closed permanently by the...
The Information Centre has been closed permanently by the Council well over 12 months ago but Google Maps still shows it there so we had to find everything we wanted to see by ourselves. Railway museum - closed. Tenterfield Sadler - closed. Glenrock Gardens - closed. Our stay was too short but the places we saw were great! The Tenterfield Railway Museum was informative. Good to see the engines & railway carriages being preserved. Like all small towns more volunteers are needed for this. Many historic buildings around the town. Courtyard Cafe provided us with a delicious breakfast. The historic buildings are nice. Be aware that outside of holiday times that attractions may close early or even not be open at all, despite what their website says. Lots to see. Easy to walk around the town.
Lots to see. Easy to walk around the town. Need at least 2 days to walk and see most. Car for outer areas. Lots of cafes and parks. Beautiful floral displays. Many small shops closed on weekends, but a brilliant FoodWorks supermarket just down from Tenterfield Saddler, if supplies needed, open 7 days Travel up the Mount Lindsay Road to go to Queensland was so much more enjoyable than using the New England highway. Some tight curves, but limited. Great places to stop, Bald Rock State Forest, Oloomba Lavendar Farm. Lots of little quaint country towns. But don't rely on WiFiGuest review bylucyAustralia
