Location great, had room ready early, I didn't have a breakfast.

The Mine and Town Tour is worth doing as is the ECO tours...
The Mine and Town Tour is worth doing as is the ECO tours sunset cruise. After that you are pretty stumped for something to do. Can do it all in a day unless you want to go on fishing trip. Mine Town Tour in the Morning and ECO sunset boat cruise in the arvo and you are done.
Finish your day with dinner and drinks at "The Alby" (Albatross Bay Resort). Watching the sun set from the beer garden is good close of day.
Although we did not stay there (they were full) The Alby is likely the best accommodation option in town. Would be my pick for next time.

This is a mining town with little interest in tourists.
This is a mining town with little interest in tourists. Ask receptionist what to see I’m Weipa. And she said this is it. Go to Caravan park for more tourist info and tours. Disappointed could not go on afternoon cruise because of weather. In late afternoon, various eating vans arrive opposite motel. Great food there and very popular with locals.
