Breakfast was really good, first day was very busy for the staff as they were one chef short but they all pulled together and did a great job. Dinner was superb in the dining room …

Absolutely fabulous! What a little gem. Can’t wait to go back!!! Spotless and extremely comfortable. It is on the main road into Yarra Glen, so lots of passing traffic peak hour, that tiny thing does not take away from the wonderful little studio created by the owners. Immaculate. And thanks for the Choci’s!!

Located on a beautiful award-winning vineyard, Balgownie Estate Yarra Valley offers luxurious Yarra Valley accommodation. Facilities include a cellar door, restaurant and indoor swimming pool.

Beautiful rooms that have recently been done up, lovely views. Customer service lacking a little. Breakfast very disappointing. Other meals good. Overall very enjoyable however.

Located on a private thoroughbred farm with a garden and lake, Holly Lane Mews offers B&B accommodation in the heart of the Yarra Valley. There are at least 10 wineries within a 5-minute drive.

The property is in a fabulous location. Very serene surroundings. Seeing Billie the wombat was an added bonus. We found the beds very clean and comfortable. Muffins in the fridge was a thoughtful touch too. Good heating and cooling available. Easy parking available on site was great. A few things to note - The property is a tad tired and dated. The bathroom was in a awkward positioned. It is accessed thru two bedrooms so is a bit difficult if you need to use bathroom at night. A box of tissues would have been greatly appreciated. Very minor but helpful. All up a great weekend.

Yarra Glen is a lovely little town, there's a couple of good antique shops & easy driving distance to many wineries The Chocolaterie is a must visit & so is the Ice Creamery run by a lovely couple with a good selection of eats & a lovely little courtyard to sit in the garden.

Yarra Glen is a wonderful location about an hour drive from Melbourne. Huge variety of vineyards, most with restaurants and some with accommodation. I would recommend many upscale vineyards which you need to book for lunch eg: Sombah, Chateau Domain Chandon, Yarrawood, Balgownie to mention which we did and would thoroughly recommend. Also visited Rochford which we also enjoyed. The area is easy to get around. We stayed at Chateau Yerring which is old world comfort but sadly in need of some TLC. Eleanor restaurant was good but overpriced for what we got. Some staff were exceptionally friendly but others especially reception were either absent or appeared not to care. I had to go to reception to ask for water and toilet paper - both of which should have been attended to by house keeping. Hotel is old and needs to be bought up to 20th century ie; tiny television, no USB ports, WiFi reception very poor. This plus total non cleaning of veranda ( cobwebs, dirt, bird droppings) etc. It just need attention almost everywhere.

Beautiful wineries with amazing restaurants. Good selection of things to do. We visited Zonzo’s and TarraWarra Estate and had lunch at each winery. We only stayed for 2 nights I would like to explore more of the area.

The choice of local wineries is amazing, there are plenty of dining options. Recommend Yering Station for wine tasing and lunch. The Chocolateria and Ice Creamery is busy but a great location for an ice cream in the open spaces surrounding it. The Yarra Valley Dairy is also great for a cheese plater or milk shake. Alowyn Gardens are beautiful, and you can picnic there or dine in the cafe on site. Lastly is you drive 40 minutes into the hills, Toolangi State forest has some wonderful bush walks, in particular the Wirrawilla Rainforest trail is an easy stroll on a boardwalk along the side of creek surrounded by tree ferns.

The Yarra Grand is indeed Grand.

The Yarra Grand is indeed Grand. The old pub hotel has a lot of character and the room was large and clean. The bed was soft and very comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful which made the experience even better.

Great location, 10 mins to town and next to Zonzo winery where we had a wedding to attend, the dressing room was great to get ready in, very comfortable with all we needed in the kitchen to make some breakfast. Spacious cottage and the wood fire was lovely. Host were very helpful and friendly.
