Loved the focus on wildlife spotting and nature, the look and feel of the eco-lodge (paintings of wildlife, outdoor space, open kitchen), really enjoyed talking with Bella about the wildlife we were seeing and where to go out looking. Also loved the complimentary coffee/tea and milk, free fruit from the garden, as well as the communal kitchen.

Great breakfast consisting of fresh fruits, bread, juice, milk, yogurt and cereal. Butter, jam and vegemite for toast. In the countryside. We spent 5 nights here. Loved waking up to all of the birds chirping and great views of the stars at night. Easy drives to Lake Eacham and Barrine in Crater Lakes National Park, Barron Falls, Yungaburra, Curtain Fig Tree National Park and much more.

Relaxed, attractive village close to lakes and tourist attractions. Comes alive during festival season and market weekends. Has adequate facilities for locals and tourists alike - supermarket, pub, cafes, restaurants, accomodation. Good for a coffee stop, refuel or overnight stay after traversing the Gillies Range Rd.

We just love the little town of Yungaburra, so neat and tidy and climate just right
A few more coffee shops would accommodate visitors more satisfactorily
At least one more venue
Love their colourful hanging flower pots and wish more towns would decorate and brighten up their streets

We were heading home from holidays and only needed one night before travelling home the next day.
We found the Kookaburra Motel by accident and so happy we did.
As we had limited time we didn't really get to have a full monty experience with the Kookaburra. but we will be going back again and to stay at least two nights.

Very pretty town with a village feeling. Able to walk everywhere and check out the iconic shops along the way. Fantastic food places. Pub really rocked on the Saturday night with live music.
Staff in all places we entered were very friendly and welcoming.

I have stayed at the Yungaburra Park Motel a number of times over the years and continue to book there when travelling to the area as it hands down better than any offering you might find in nearby Atherton. Great location, good value room options, a really personable management team on site and just the best breakfast not 150 metres walk up the road at the Whistle Stop Cafe. I like this spot a lot.
fantastic property for relaxing with friends and just taking in the lake views. very well equipped home with everything you need for a weekend away. also a great base for exploring the tablelands. yungaburra would have to be the one of the loveliest towns in Qld.
Very friendly owners
walking distance to restaurants and supermarket
close drive to many other attractions
nearly guaranteed sighting of a platypus less than 5-min walk from hotel
