The hotel was fantastic. Super clean, well located, and the bed was comfortable. The room is a good size and it was really cozy and nice. The bathroom seemed very new and was really clean. The shower was awesome, lots of room and good water pressure. The hotel is a quick walk to the city centre and old town area, there is a supermarket right across the street which is convenient as well. It's off the main road so there was no noise from traffic during the night. I would absolutely stay here again.

The history in buildings, streets, places and museums made Sarajevo and Bosnia & Herzegovina come alive for me. I found I was intensely interested in the Austro-Hungarian Empire, the assassination of Arch-Duke Franz Ferdinand and his wife, how WWI started, how Yugoslavia was formed and broke up and the Bosnian War, and learned much about these events.

you MUST get KM at the airport, even if it’s only for the taxi ride, because taxists don’t take cards and sometimes try to fool you (we were naive and paid 20€ a 20KM ride).
The city is beautiful, i really loved it and i would definitely return there one day

A seductive and mysterious city, awaiting to be discovered afresh each time. Unique, preserved culture, history and natural beauty and wonders. Go back in different time periods, as reflected in the architecture and savour the food and coffee traditions. A place to meet up with old and make new friends. Highly recommended.
Inexpensive to visit. Honest and trustworthy people. Excellent touring facilities and myriad groups organising excursions of all kinds.

Every thing about the hotel. Staff was very helpful and professional. Hotel was exactly what it described. Spacious rooms. Very clean and spotless. For booking.com they arranged a free airport shuttle for pick up from the airport.Surrounding was very ecofriendly. I tried meals from Hotel restaurant and food was very tasty.I willI defenitely recommend Hotel Austria and Bosna to any tourist. I think tourist should not be prejudicial about Bosnia and Herzegovina visit without any fear. Beautiful Country nothing to be afraid of.
The hostess Valida gave us a very warm welcome. We immediately felt very comfortable. The breakfast was exceptional. There were Bosnian specialties and other dishes. The rooms are cozy and very clean. From the hotel you can get to the old town very quickly and many restaurants, supermarkets and sights are nearby. Valida knows everything about Sarajevo and can really answer any question and give lots of tips. I would recommend it to everyone and come back to Guesthouse Halvat.
Two years ago, my wife and I visited Sarajevo and Bosnia and Herzegovina in January 2021. We were pleasantly surprised to find such a place in Sarajevo, and it felt like being in another country. The restaurant staff was exceptional, with friendly and experienced waiters who efficiently served us in the 5-star hotel. The breakfast offered a variety of choices, and the service was attentive.
The hotel is very well located, very close to the old town, the tram stop that takes you to the Railway Station is just a 5 min walk . The breakfast is very varied and the Bosnia coffee is strong but for me was delicious (for coffee lovers). The receptionists give you a good welcome and they are very kind. thanks guys.
Kenan is a great house-owner, House is very clean and location of house is very close to city center. I would definitely book this place if I visit Bosnia again!
