Our room had several silverfish in the room and bathroom. On arrival staff were quite rude and seemed annoyed that we didn’t have cash to pay for the booking despite stating we would be paying by card.

My wife used this hotel recently, so she wrote this: "I was really pleasant with my room. Spacious, beautifully decorated, neat, tidy. This hotel is just a short distance from Antwerp Central. Transport links are abundant around, as well as facilities such as restaurants and shops for all your needs."

Hotel exceeded my expectations and added positive emotions to my first visit to Antwerp.
Location is perfect - you can go all the way to the hotel through the central station. Room was spacious, bed comfy and very big. Room has everything you might need. Plenty of towels, bathrobes, slippers. Hair dryer, iron with board, safe, coffee machine. Breakfast is not something fancy but it is very good and there are plenty of options and they do have some things that are not very common - several kinds of milk, three different kinds of eggs (fried, boiled, scrambled), hot fresh waffles, cava.
Staff at reception was very friendly and helpful. There are some free stuff like fruits, candies and water at the reception/bar - nice touch.
Just off Antwerp's ring road, the Van der Valk Antwerpen offers air-conditioned rooms and free WiFi. Deurne Airport and Antwerp’s city centre are about a 10-minute drive away.

Breakfast was excellent, as was the Tapas we had in the bar. Room was clean and spacious. Great shower. Pool was also good bonus we'd forgotten about! Staff very helpful and friendly. Free car park and super easy to get into Antwerp on the tram. Late check out welcome.
The restaurant Bistro Millefeuille at the same location as the hotel is worth to visit, but too bad the reception didn’t tell us about the package that includes dining at this restaurant while we’ve already asked what the hotel could offer for upgrade to deluxe room. It was cheaper in total when you buy this package instead of booking seperately. The surrounding garden and area was nice for a walk. Free car charging, though it works very slowly.
Very good breakfast in a nice environment with a view on a beautiful garden.
Friendly staff. The hotel is well located for my purpose in a nice village.
Some shops nearby. Excellent restaurant is next door.
