Beautiful rooms, away from the bustle. The beach that is part of the hotel (but a shuttle away) is stunning

Breakfast was simple but sufficient. The meals at lunch and dinner were good but a little more expensive than we expected. The wine costs were exorbitant.

Our room was beautiful, lovely wooden floor and a huge balcony. Chris met us on arrival and checked us in and he couldn't have been more heplful to us. We were having difficultly with our phones and he very kindly contacted the driver who was to pick us up the next day for a day trip , to confirm the pick up time. We met Shanique the following day and she was just as kind and helpful.

The only reason why I did not give the facility a higher rate is because the bath was painted over as part of the refurbishment. Sadly, the paint was peeling off hence was not able to enjoy a bath during our stay. But we had the most amazing view from our room and did not want to switch rooms.

Nassau is to be avoided, it's best to just transfer here and head to the nicer islands. It's a shame because Nassau has an interesting history and could be restored by putting all the money coming in from the cruise lines to work (5 ships per day totaling 30,000 pax) but the town is run down and poorly managed.

Loved the island - perfect for rest and relaxation.
Loved the island - perfect for rest and relaxation. Immigration was a bit slow but enjoyed the live band that played in the area while waiting for service. The island was lovely - safe with high walkability. Fantastic weather and the people were so polite....amazing! Fantastic seafood, however, I did not like paying for items in USD and receiving change in Bahamian currency so to avoid the hassle I just used plastic. Nonetheless, the accommodation in New Providence was fantastic! Quiet!! Such a change from JA where noise pollution is rampant throughout the island :(

Nassau is a run down area and really just a cruise ship stop. Unless you're staying at the Baha Mar, it's a little rough. Groceries are extremely expensive and be ready to pay the 10% VAT everywhere.

Love that you can get around almost the whole island by bus, sometimes you have to walk long distances. Every food place, the food was seasoned differently and great atmosphere love listening to the waters splash against the beach quite soothing love the scooters and Calypso shows and many fun and different people and cultures altogether. There is a junkanoo carnival and many fun events that happens everyday.

On a positive side the conch served in most restaurants is yummy. We would never return due to the very high hotel prices and the cost of food out or in a grocery store is extremely high. One carton of eggs was $8.00. One loaf of bread was $8.00. Any alcohol with exception of rum was out of this world. A bottom of the line bottle of wine was $15.00 US.
20 years ago we stayed at The Atlantis Resort in an all- inclusive. Rates then were okay but now are very expensive. 25% was added to all our bills for govt taxes and tip.
Be prepared to spend a lot of money if vacationing there. Out taxi was $55.00 to go three miles from the airport.

I won't return.
I won't return. It is very run down and very expensive and absolutely inundated with cruise ship passengers buying junk from the market stalls. There really are better places in the world to go and spend your hard earned money. Normally I find something cool in praise of the places I visit. Sorry Nassau can't find anything.

Hands down the best place we have stayed. We were travelling for honeymoon and the hotel kindly upgraded us to an awesome suite with access to the private beach with hammocks and sunbeds. The suite was huge with full kitchen, living and dining room, walk-in wardrobe, jacuzzi and to bathrooms. Great Wi-Fi in the room and even around the whole resort, beach included. Really friendly staff and free sunbeds on the main beach. Great place and would highly recommend.
The property has lots of character - unlike the larger hotels in Nassau. It’s not a luxury hotel but it’s comfortable. The rooms are spacious. We had a room overlooking the garden but in fact because the hotel is on a hill we had far reaching views over the residential areas of Nassau which was lovely. We could see the airport in the distance but we couldn’t hear the planes. We would definitely book again.
The hotel is located on the Paradise Island, the nicest area of Nassau. The Atlantis resort is just few steps away and you have full access at its facilities included. The beds are confortable. Reginald from front desk is very nice and helpful, congratulation to him! The breakfast is ok. The hotel has free parking for guests.
