Good area. Booked through booking.com with my debit Mastercard! My bad! But I don’t use a credit card’ I like using my own money. Wasn’t going to be able to stay until I found a credit card!! Staff made me feel horrible and not worthy of their consideration .
I unfortunately had to get my senior mother to write an email to the facility that I may use her CC. She needed to send an email with her CC info ID and her consent! While this was going on the staff at the front could have been more welcoming to the situation.
With each staff member that was on duty, we were met with unwelcoming glares. One staff member followed us on the elevator and asked us where we were going? and what floor? what room?.
Also our room cards were deactivated by said employee. Our hands were full of our shopping bags and snacks. I had to go back to the main desk.. got the third degree had to prove my husband and myself were staying in the hotel before reactivating our room keys. The front desk facilitator said “ oh you must have had your card again something …. Both cards? Come on!
Will never stay at this hotel again on their bias alone! When people of certain ethnic backgrounds are treated better than two first nations hard working clients, that is wrong’ in today’s society!!! I never use the race card but have to.
I have good money to spend .. we both work hard for our leisure time!

Some amazing restaurants - even in unexpected locations.

All the amenities you need nearby.
Easy access to some beautiful hiking (30-60 min. away). Also some nice places for walking right in town.
So much nicer flying into this small airport vs. Vancouver.

Abbotsford is a nice town and a great place to base yourself to explore the historic area.
We would highly recommend the quaint town of Langley, and the historic fur trading fort near the banks of the Fraser River.

Its an excellent place to stop over if you have a flight the next day. It is easy to get to Vancouver airport and take around 60 to 90 minutes skirting the US border.
The town itself is busy - lots of traffic and not what we found in the rest of our Rockies trip. Beyond the town looks lovely though with some really beautiful countryside around it.

There was nothing I liked about this place, it's a dump with homeless people and drug addict's hanging around. Grounds are a mess, rooms are a mess. Dirty disgusting place. Don't stay here

There were no bugs.
There were no bugs. But I did check the mattress and base boards (which were showing many years of wear and tear) for signs.
The room was too hot, but once I figured out how to turn on the ancient air-conditioner, it quickly became comfortable. The furnishings were serviceable but chipped and worn.

The trip was our first time in Abbotsford. We always drive past it going elsewhere for our past vacations. I heard about it in the series Aurora Teagarden mysteries. They were in Abbotsford shooting the movie. Over all was OK. The good thing is Walmart is behind the hotel for getting things- very convenient. I used to stay at a Super 8 when I was living in Alberta - back in the late 80's. If you want to see the condition if the room, my wife is a vlogger. You can see it in YouTube under Reality Vlog video #89.
I was taking a flight from Abbotsford and this B&B stood out for its closeness to the airport, value for money and the fabulous breakfast it was offering. I had a comfortable nights sleep, met a few interesting fellow travellers and ate a wonderful breakfast. It was truly spectacular and even some sandwiches for onward travel. I was even able to arrange my taxi through the owner. I highly recommended this property.
I wish I could find even one thing good about this hotel but there is NOTHING. It was horrible and I cannot understand how it operates as a Travelodge. I have stayed at other Travelodges and while they haven't been fancy they have been perfectly fine. This one was not !
