Conveniently located near the ferry terminal in Campbell River, we were able to walk from this hotel to various points of interest. The staff is great—friendly and accommodating. However, I booked a room with a harbor view and we were given a corner room where one part of the window had a harbor view and the other looked onto a nearby residence. Not what I was expecting. Having learned about the downsides of airbnbs, I have tried to book hotels when traveling. But not getting the room I expected when booking does make me reconsider.

The room was good. The fan was dusty so we did not use it. The coffee maker was not the cleanest, they changed it but it was dusty. The pool needs an upgrade, the sauna was closed and the hot-tub was closed as well. The gym kinda looks like a home gym only one equipment of any kind and very limited space. The breakfast was great! The scrambled eggs are perfect!

Location is Fabulous, October torm watching was exciting, the Beds were comfy, the main lodge is delightful with the old fishing photos and artistic decor from Painters at Painter's. I always wanted to stay there, it was a bucket list item.iI had been to many events there such as Painter's at Painter's , but just never actually stayed there. The food in the pub was good, breakfast was ok. The front desk girl needed to be clearer when she spoke and she was hard to understand at times

Campbell River is a great small city with lots to offer every traveler. It's a great city to catch a whale or bear watching tour. The pier is nice to stroll along and maybe get an ice cream in the summer. Elk Falls is spectacular any time of year.

Campbell River is in a beautiful area, surrounded by ferry-accessable islands and to the east and glaciated mountains to the west. There's plenty of fishing and wildlife viewing tours on the ocean, while the mountains are all self-guided. It's only slightly touristy. If you want shows, night life, ect., then go to Vegas. If you think Vegas is gross and are happy to do some bushwhacking to get on a mountain without other people in sight, then it's great. Mt. Washington has great downhill skiing, including a wicked-steep, albeit not that long back side. Mt. Albert Edward's is a great summer hike or winter backcountry ski.

We LOVE to CAMP and to FISH and so Campbell River is the BEST place for both! Campbell River is the Salmon Capital of North America and so if you can't catch fish there you better find another hobby! We always stay at Elk River Provincial Park and take showers at the spotless Community Center in Downtown Campbell River. The shopping is GREAT in Campbell River for anything from avocadoes to tires! You have so MANY stores and restaurants to choose from. We first came to Campbell River in 1990 and we have been back 2 more times since then no matter where we were living in the USA. One caveat, the weather REALLY goes downhill (RAIN) once the month of October arrives.

I have stayed here before so thought I knew what to expect.
I have stayed here before so thought I knew what to expect. The staff were good but the noise construction and stale cigarette smell made me not want to stay on the lower levels. I was fortunate enough to get a room on the 7th floor, you need to be mobile and fit enough to do this as there was no lift. The room was clean and okay but the drilling down the hall in another room was irritating. Breakfast was a shambles, they were busy which is unstable but being asked 3 times what drink I wanted, to have it quoted wrong and then tell me it wasn't available wasn't. Then breakfast came and it was wrong and inedible and the sever came and asked me again what I had ordered. Put all those things together and it made me not want to go back there.Shame because the location is lovely and the staff friendly.

It’s a very chilled place and actually has much more to offer than we originally thought.
There were good eating places but they were quite a walk from the property.
Elk Falls Provincial Park is well worth a visit.

We’ve stayed quite a few times here at the Ramada, it’s a very okay quality/price option in the winter when prices are cut in halves. Although the hotel is run down and not very clean, it’s cozy, there’s a nice view and the staff was extremely helpful and kind. Breakfast buffet offered is generous and tasty. Dog friendly.
The room was spacious, super clean and comfortable, nicely appointed and unbelievably quiet compared to the motels I usually stay at in Campbell River. In the morning, blueberry pancakes and lots of laughs with the other guests and wonderful host Laurie made this my all-time favorite overnight stay in CR.
